I was never a Cutcliffe supporter. I worked on Tuberville's support staff as a student and Cutcliffe's support staff as a student too. Cutcliffe's practices were jokes compared with Tuberville's. We were never going to get better under Cutcliffe but Eli patched a lot of the wounds on the team. When Eli left, it was a team on life support.

That being said... Cutcliffe has done the unthinkable this year. His team is 8-2 and may very well play in the ACC Championship game. Good job for him. This is Duke we are talking about..

If I had to pick a coach of the year, Coach O and Coach Cut would both be up there.

To me its just more telling of where the ACC is than it is where Duke is.

Ole Miss at large is proving itself to be a great development school for coaches with true potential. It's the absolute opposite of a coach's graveyard.

Duke is at best a Sunbelt team for football. Winning 8 games at Duke even in the Sunbelt would be a huge deal. The ACC is not the Sunbelt. They are a real conference. FSU may very well be the best team in the land. Duke winning 8 games in a BCS conference? ...unthinkable.

It's perfect isn't it? A Velociraptor, hot flight attendant on one arm, holding a pug and a bottle of booze.

Edit: oh the sig pic. Yes, that accurately represents how an Ole Miss Baller should live.

Duke has wins over
North Carolina Central
Memphis 3-6
Troy who Ole Miss and MSU demolished 5-6
Navy 6-4
Virginia 2-8
Virginia Tech who has no offense 7-4 best win against Miami without Duke Johnson
North Carolina State 3-7
Miami without its only playmaker in DJ. 7-3 everyone knew they were overrated. Lost their RB and are falling apart now.

I'm not saying they suck, but they haven't played anyone. They lost to Pitt who is 5-5.

The ACC just sucks arse.

They have games left against Wake Forest and North Carolina who they should beat because they suck as well. There is nothing impressive about Duke schedule. They didn't play FSU or Clemson. They lost to GT and Pitt.

If you are throwing those two in there....might as well throw Freeze in the mix. And with the schedule we have had and what record we have now...out of those three my vote goes to Hugh. In the past four games our offense has produced 2300+ yards.

Winning against crap teams doesn't mean you are good. Just means you are better than the other crap team you are playing.

Duke shouldn't be ranked. To much is put into Win/Loss Record. There players are well coached but are slow and not really good.

To many millions of dollars are being spent on Football programs to have such a shitass system of ranking teams. We need something better.

I don't see why ranking are important unless it's a scenario that would involve the BCS.

Here we are talking about 23-25.

I don't give a shite.

IMO and what I think the OP was trying to say is that even though the acc sucks normally duke is at the very bottom of the suckage.

So to me it's amazing that they have won 8 games. Even if it is against a sucky acc. Because normally no matter how sucky the acc is they are at or near the bottom

Bryan Brown pass interfered and still gave up a 96 yard TD

In 2003 our defense was horrid. That was always a problem with Cutcliffe teams. Just like the South Carolina game that year. No reason we should have ever gave up 40pts to them.
