Inherent in JFF's greatness is his propensity to take risks. They're necessarily intertwined. You can't have his production without the occasional bone-headed play. It's just who he is.

It's more apparent this year because he has no defense. He has no choice but to go for it each drive.

With his mobility there shouldn't be risks. 2010 Auburn didn't have a great D you didn't see Cam take unnecessary risks. At this point Manziel is just playing QB badly. INT's are on him.

My God, man. It's hard to begin explaining how wrong you are.

JFF has made a conscious effort to run less. He's done this in an attempt to play more within the offense--an attribute you implied earlier is important. He's also done this to avoid injury,, which actually speaks directly to his efforts in becoming a less "risky" QB.

TAMU's D makes 201 Auburn's look like the '85 Bears.

And how can you categorically describe JFF's risks as "unnecessary"?

For every turnover he's had, he's scored over three TDs. If you accept that risk-taking is a necessary part of his game, he seems to be quite calculated given his production.

He leads the SEC, who boasts the best collection of QBs in its history, in:

Yards
TDs
completion %
QBR
YPC

And every other meaningful statistic.
