We were competitive during the Brooks years, the latter ones anyway. It showed that with the right coaching and talent, UK can compete.

Well, Kentucky is 6-8 against LSU in last 14 games, and one of the LSU "wins" was the famous last gasp blue grass miracle hail mary pass in 2002. In 2007, Kentucky wiped out LSU beating the tar out of them during LSU's two-loss NC season.

So basically Kentucky is equal to LSU... that according to corndog logic applied elsewhere in the world of college football.

And since the corndogs believe (this last is akin faith, not fact) that Corndog-U is equivalent to Alabama, then Kentucky must be equal to Alabama.

Hence the need to talk about Kentucky football. LSU is lucky in scheduling that they did not have to play Kentucky this year. Instead they got a scheduling walkover against Georgia, Florida, and Ole Miss. Something should be done to prevent LSU from fixing the schedules so they do not have to play Kentucky.
