2007 LSU is not legit, it's the primary reason the BCS is/was a complete failure.

It's legit

Who should have played in the title game that year?

2003 was split and caused AP to leave. 2007 was consensus (AP, Coaches, FWAA).

All 128 NCAA FBS members were members of the BCS which named LSU the champion. By definition it's legitimate, regardless of what some fans say. When all 128 members of an organization say "this is our champion", that pretty much settles it. The fact that the system expanded from 2 to 4 teams doesn't make those BCS champions any less relevant than World Series winners back when there were only two teams in the postseason. Adding wild cards...that subsequently won it all...doesn't diminish the accomplishments of those earlier champions.

Is that the year LSU beat Tennessee for the SEC Championship with a backup QB playing the whole game and with Glenn Dorsey (their best defensive player) out for the game and then stomped Ohio State in the national championship game?

2007 was not the reason the BCS failed. The coaches poll and ESPN , in granting Bama a mulligan were the main reasons

LOL after seeing the date of the first post. All hail the Chicken!!!

So, smart arse, who should have won it, Tennessee???

It was not pretty loosing a late game but they picked LSU to play Ohio State as many teams sucked late in the season, however, we were picked by the rules set forth at the beginning of the year.

So, you can eat shite if you don't like it. We beat the crap at of Ohio State = We win the Netty!!

We are not talking about an abbreviated season that was made up on the fly, while nearly every team was playing at half strength.

We're talking about a full season where every team in America failed when it mattered, while LSU took care of business in Atlanta with their backup quarterback, then proceeded to beat the piss out of OSU, whose roster was full of pros. That's as legitimate as it gets.
