Mizzou only lost to one other team that year. Nobody else can claim that. We didn’t even play UT though.

I ain't reading this thread but how the frick is the Texas 1969 title not legit? Went 11-0 and finished the season ranked 1st in both the AP and coaches poll. frick Penn State.

Something I didn't know until recently is that Penn State declined to play in that Cotton Bowl.

Y'all had a false start on the Street pass.

Didn't even make it 72 hrs from when I called it back on Sunday. I'll bet chicken and crew circle jerk to this every time it's unanchored and bumped.

College football teams with most national championships in AP Top 25 poll era
Alabama...14
sports illustrated...who has most NC in college football since 1936
Alabama...14

Championships: 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2020
No college football program before or since the AP poll has won more national championships than Alabama. Emerging in the 1920s as a power, the Crimson Tide have been in the mix ever since, first under six-time national title winner Bear Bryant in the 60s and 70s and again in the 21st century as Nick Saban has built arguably the single greatest run of dominance the sport has ever seen.

The bumping of this thread almost always indicates that Alabama has had a good season.

Texas played #9 Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. So, no natty for you.

Get your asterisk ready pussy
I've been trying to think of a really good reason for the asterisk if Bama wins.
And I think I've got it......
***** The football nation was pissed off & losing it when Bama was put in the top 4 after they beat the #1, 2-time defending champs.

Yes, you have.
Just a bump to remind Bammers, even though you don't belong in the playoffs, if you luck up and win it all.
No, you won't have 19...maybe 9, but definitely not 19.
