And I'd wager those in the ceremony understood precisely the booing and didn't care.

Saban is pretty apolitical, there's no way a guy that no non-sense follows politics. It looks like he made a one time donation to somebody he was connected to back in West Virignia at some point.

I can guarantee you that not one single person was booing those brave men and women who were joining the National Guard. EVERYBODY knows what the booing was for and who it was aimed at.

To all the Mizzou fans that Booed

A bit of an inappropriate time to voice your political opinion. Ruined the National Guardsmen's Swearing In Ceremony.

No doubt.
You know how fricked up Obama has been regarding military issues has been?
The 'don't tread on me' patch worn by the Marines has been deemed unacceptable because 'extreme groups' have that slogan.
frick him and his shitty change.

Politicians are corrupt...all of them. However, why choose the most retarded person when you can just choose a retard. Go Obama

I am pretty embarrassed about this. I dont care how you feel about the President personally, respect the office, and respect those being sworn in enough to keep your petty opinions to yourself.

This is how injustices continue unchecked.
Did our founding fathers have respect for the royal family? No. They saw injustices and they fought against them. Sack up, Stripes.

Provide a link to that graph please.

I'm not embarrassed. Frick everyone inside the Beltway. If they don't care about us (and they don't), then I don't owe them a single thing. And I certainly don't owe them some sort of pretend civility when they demonstrate none towards hoi polloi.

You are absolutely right, GM&C. Barack Obama and George Wallace...definitely birds of a feather.

Race politics aside, George Wallace was a populist and not a supporter of rich man's politics. He was not Goldwater.
He damn sure wasn't Obama.

From your link.....

Correlation, of course, doesn’t mean causation: The party in power didn’t necessarily produce all the gains in the GDP or the stock market, or lack thereof. Voters could be more inclined to vote for Democrats when the economy is picking up. Or, given the relatively small sample size, the results could simply be random. And quite a bit of new policy includes a lag between passage and implementation, so it’s possible that some of these congress/president combinations deserve credit for growth that came on somebody else’s watch.

That shite would get eviserated on the Money/Poli Board.
ETA: Not only that, there is a link in that article where they recommend Conservatives control Congress while Obama is still President.
I'd be entertained if you posted this linked article on the two boards I mentioned above. Please do.

In all seriousness, there were no loud Boos, just a collective groan when "President of the United States" was mentioned during the oath. I can guarantee you none of the inductees would have felt slighted; they were given a standing ovation by the crowd. I did appreciate the fact that the Tennesee fans joined in applauding them, as well as during another ceremony during the game honoring Mizzou grads who served in the military, some being honored posthumously. Quite frankly, I think most Missourians are getting tired of these local state officials trying to drum up controversy when any negative comments are directed toward the President.

This is a Poli board discussion, but GDP is inclusive of government spending. Therefore, if I spend $1B more in government funds borrowed from China, the GDP grows. In other words, your graph is useless shite.

Increases in government spending during the democratic adminstrations and their effects on GDP would be interesting to see. That's probably gettin too deep into the pool for the rant though.
