OFFENSE: Connor Shaw, QB, South Carolina
• Hampered by a knee sprain, Shaw was not expected to play, but with the Gamecocks' struggling to score, entered the game midway through the third quarter and led the Gamecocks to one of the greatest wins in school history.
• The Gamecocks trailed 17-0 on the road to the No. 5 Missouri Tigers in the fourth quarter when Shaw caught fire. He led Carolina to scores on each of their final five possessions, to pull out a 27-24 double overtime win.
• Shaw completed 20-of-29 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns, including a strike to Bruce Ellington on a fourth-and-goal from the 15 in the first overtime period.

DEFENSE: Landon Collins, S, Alabama
• Tied for the team lead with six total tackles (five solo).
• Had the first interception of his career and forced a fumble.
• 89-yard INT return of a TD ended a UT drive at the end of the 1st half and put UA up 28-0 with 12 seconds left in the 2nd quarter.
• INT for TD of 89 yards was the fifth longest in school history.
• UA has held opponents to 10 points or less in seven of eight games this season.
• Alabama ranks first nationally in scoring defense (9.8 ppg) and 5th in total defense (280.9 ypg).

SPECIAL TEAMS: Elliott Fry, PK, South Carolina
• The true freshman came up big twice late in the game to help Carolina to a 27-24 double-overtime win at No. 5 Missouri.
• Fry hit from 20-yards out with 5:03 left in regulation to pull the Gamecocks to within a touchdown, then converted from 40-yards out in the second overtime which proved to be the game-winner.
• For the season, the walk-on is 8-of-10 in field goal attempts with a long of 41 yards.

FRESHMAN: Jeremy Johnson, QB, Auburn
• Completed 10-of-16 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns (one INT) and 21 yards rushing to help lead Auburn to a 45-10 victory over Florida Atlantic
• On his first play from scrimmage, threw a 36-yard TD pass to Sammie Coates to give Auburn a 28-0 lead.
• Led the Tigers to scores on four of his first six drives he played.

OFFENSIVE LINE: Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State
• Jackson was instrumental in the Bulldogs beating Kentucky 28-22, as the Bulldogs manufactured 447 yards of total offense and quarterback Dak Prescott threw for a career-high 252 yards.
• The senior guard graded out at 91.5 percent and had five knockdowns.

DEFENSIVE LINE: Kelcy Quarles, DT, South Carolina
• The junior defensive tackle caused havoc all night in Carolina's 27-24 double-overtime win at Missouri.
• He was credited with six tackles, including five solo stops. He had three tackles for loss, accounting for 22 yards, including a pair of sacks.
• Quarles ranks second in the SEC in both sacks (7.0) and tackles for loss (10.0) this season.

Called that one. Obvious as hell that he was going deep on the first play.

"Dak Prescott for Mississippi State. Had an amazing home victory against Kentucky against a large Mississippi state crowd of 40,000+ fans. He managed to hold of Kentucky in the 4th quarter for the victory 28-22. he was 23-34 with over 250 yards of passing, as well as getting 33 rushing yards on 16 carries. and he did all of this while only getting sacked by Kentucky 3 times! SEC week 9 player of the week, Dak Prescott"
