Will Alabama lose a few first place votes if they don't lay the wreckage on Tennessee tomorrow?

Yes. We'll get jumped by Florida State too.
Oregon/FSU in the BCSCG.

It won't matter in the long run.

Tennessee is much improved. They would only lose by like 20 to the Ducks now.

Where are all these bamasessed Oregon posters coming from?

As long as the Tide keeps winning they will play in the BCS Championship game.

Honestly, how many times does it need to be said? The Tennessee team that played Oregon -- even the one that played Florida -- is not the same team that played UGA and USC. I don't really expect those who haven't watched all of our games to have witnessed the improvement but I can't really fathom not listening to those who have when everyone from UT fans to rivals and pundits are saying the same damn thing.
Bama won't be hurt unless they either lose outright OR deserve to lose despite pulling off a W. It's the TSiO and that matters - voters understand that. Even if UT wins, I'm not sure Bama is down and out. Again, it's the TSiO!
Oregon fans may not want to admit this but Oregon has to put up HUGE numbers due to having a weak conference as it's the only way of showing real dominance. Oregon fans should hope for a good UT showing but NOT because it will hinder Bama but rather because it will strengthen Oregon's schedule compared to FSU. And I say all of that as someone who feels the Ducks have a better team than in past years.
So in short: no.

does it even matter? they'll still be #1 till they lose

Doesn't matter. Bama has to lose to be pushed out of the BCS title game. Style points are reserved for the fraud teams such as Ohio State, Missouri, etc.
Bama vs Oregon if they win every remaining game by one point each.

Nothing substantial

It took a last second field goal block (2nd of the day for Mt Cody) in 2009 to secure a 2 point margin of victory of 12-10 against an unranked inferior UT team at BDS to keep Bama at #1 so...No.
As long as Bama comes away with a W tomorrow and throughout the remainder of the season whether by a margin of 1 or 50, they will be in the Pasadena. You don't leave out the back to back defending champ bc they WIN a close game against an inferior team.

Believe they could lose all of the first place votes and still be ahead of Oregon in the BCS rankings

If they win, the red team will be in the championship game.
