There are countless reasons that I don't plan on letting go of this one (a few of which are private and shall not be spoken of ).

She finally told me what was bothering her (I think?) and it makes things a hair more complicated, but it doesn't change the way I feel about her (which she thought it would). Just means I'm going to have to put in a bit more effort sometimes and I'm perfectly happy with that.

That's what I thought until I got in to the oil field. Internships were the exact same... 40-60 hour weeks, work all weekend and until midnight for the final projects etc... but the real world, is much much different.

Dad is a PE, so I have some knowledge of that as well. Not really sure if I want to follow in that path, but the $100k/yr starting salary his company offers fresh graduating undergrads is kind of tempting.

You should probably demand a paternity test before you raise some other dude's kid.

You can get in the industry without being a PE. The majority of the tools guys are mechanical engineers that get paid really well and don't know shite about a lot of petroleum stuff. It's our economies driver, there are PLENTY of paths to take.
