If you could go anywhere for 7-10 days, where would it be? Just the two of us. He doesn't know about it. It will be a surprise.

I think this questions depends on how old you are and how much money is an issue. Me I love Vegas.

7-10 in Vegas is suicide.
But I'll be damned if it wouldn't be an incredible way to go.
I say go and enjoy the frivolities of Europe

Budget is about $10k.
We are both laid back. We've done the Vegas thing 3 times. He likes to fish and hunt and I do as well. We can stay in the states or go abroad.
Thought about Bora Bora. Or Greece.

7-10 days is not that long but plenty long enough for yours truly. To maximize your time and minimize your travel time just get a nice condo in Destin or Sandestin. Here's one example: LINK Enjoy.

Rent a conch house in the Florida Keys and then rent a boat. Dock the boat at the house and fish the islands. Jan. through March are ideal weather.
We spent 3 weeks down there 2 years ago and had a terrific time.

The only reason I am not leaning towards hunting is because he is going on a hunting trip next week.
I've also thought about Ireland.

what's your airline budget, round trip

Cruise the mediterranean. Coolest experience in my life and there is so much to do. Either go RCL or you can get a real chip ticket on a Carnival sponsored-line and only risk death.

Jackson Hole. To cold to do anything except cavity search by a fire.

This is just me but I was not a fan of Ireland. I went to Dublin, Shannon, and some suburb of Dublin in a youth hostel (may have been a big factor in why I wasn't a fan). It was cold, miserable, and rainy when I was there in the Summer. London, Scotland, maybe a chunnel ride to Brussels or Paris could be fun too?
