Why we haven't seen much of Quayvon lately

FWIW, a person that works for me is very close friends with Quayvon's mom and dad, and the issue is grades. As of right now, he is failing two classes supposedly, and may not even play this week at Vandy. They did say that he has a tutor assigned to him and that hopefully he can pull his grades up. I wish the kid all the best, he represents south GA well, on the field anyway, and has a very humble attitude.

Grades? Why would that matter right now? Wouldn't he just become ineligible for the bowl game, like John Jenkins? Maybe I'm wrong, but this shouldn't affect his status at the current moment, but only at the end of the semester.
Or is it the coaches just punishing him for bad academics?

It is probably Richt punishing him for not keeping his grades up. Richt must feel like in order to play that the players can not be failing any of their classes.

If the coaches are punishing him for bad grades, I'm all for it. It sucks, but the players are still students and have to do their part in the classroom, too. The other athletes are doing it.

Seriously, if he was being punished then why is he being played at all?
I'm sure this is not the conversation between Richt on the field and Bobo in the box......

Message boards over the last decade. If you listen to the call in show, a lot of the more redneck callers pronounce his name "coach RICK". That kind of spun off to other variations getting more and more crazy, I guess Mike Ridge is one

This is a crap. Bozo needs to grow a pair and put his best players on the field. Q-Hicks absolutely blows up every blocker in his way. By, we play a walk-on twice as much. Let the big mister play! Start worrying about your JOB and not about your best chance at running football's grades. There is no way we move the ball with in key situations without the big fella on the field. I'm sure we could care less about his grades and more about us winning games!
