The rankings aren't a legit comparison to how this game matches up.

I don't think anyone is disputing that... but the line might be accurate.
A&M - 49
Auburn - 38
Seems like a reasonable outcome to me.

This is gonna be a fun week

Plus, you played OM after Bama had put a beat down on them the week before
If we can get past Texas A&M this week, which is unlikely in my eyes, Auburn will likely have 1 loss going to the Georgia game, and they have proven they are also beatable. The chances of Auburn and Alabama playing a very meaningful game this year rises with every weak. This Auburn team is on par with Texas A&M, better than Arkansas and Tennessee, and may be up to the challenge with Georgia.

Bama has a lot of weakness on D this year. They aren't the iron curtain that they've been in the past. They are definitely deeper on that side of the ball, but that's the main separation.

It was a response to the fact that I claimed Auburn would need to score 50+... A&M has scored 40+ on every opponent... Are you high
Yeah your math doesn't add up. 40+, I'd agree with, 50+ no. 20% more points is a significant difference. Thanks for your "critical thinking".

Bama is the only defense that aTm has played that might be better than Auburn but that is a terrible comparison
Isn't Bama also still looking for their first sack?

Whatever you want to say about it, Alabama has a better defense, and it isn't out of the question that A&M scores more points against Auburn than it did Alabama. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case for every mutual opponent those two teams have this year. It is already the case for Ole Miss.

The only sure wins left on our schedule are UTEP, Vandy, and MSU. LSU, Aubie, and Mizzou are all potential losses.......although I like our chances better with Franklin out.

Lol. The difference of 41 and 42 plus a TD is 48 or 49. Sorry if A&M scores one more TD against Auburn than it did Alabama. If that is the case, Auburn would need 50+. They need to start teaching math in Lee County.

It will be like last year.
Texas A&M in the 50s, Auburn in the 20s.
Texas A&M in the 50s, Auburn in the 20s.

It's reasonable I suppose, but I don't see A&M scoring 49 points. AU will get pressure on Manziel throughout the game. AU's dline is always fresh.

Auburn won't be able to beat them. Sure y'all beat us, but we had a very corresponding team that would make it close. Auburn, not so much.
I'll be rooting for y'all though.

Pressure doesn't matter... JFF has seemed to find his way around pressure this year.

I wouldn't be surprised if AU held A&M to less points than Bama did. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case for every mutual opponent those two teams have this year. It is already the case for Ole Miss.

AU's DL will be the best DL that JFF has seen this season. Auburn leads the SEC in tackles for loss. (that was before the WCU game)Auburn has given up a lot of yards this season, but don't give up a lot of T.D.'s. Auburn will run it on A&M like they haven't seen this season. It will boil down to if Auburn can keep from putting the ball on the ground, which has been a problem. It will be an interesting game and Auburn has an outstanding chance of upsetting A&M.

AU has a dline capable of getting to the QB, unlike Bama. They rotate heavily, keeping the DL fresh. Nothing crazy in thinking that.
