It's either Grantham or the entire secondary

You're running out of excuses to defend our secondary. Zero interceptions this year. Don't know their position, can't get in front of a receiver, can't get near enough to break up a pass.
So either this is the most inept secondary we have ever had or Grantham can't coach them. Zero improvement in 5 games. How is that possible?

Y'all can be mad but there is something to be said about the consistency of bed shittings for this program and how over the years we've found new, interesting ways to lose. Say what y'all will about the staff but they're committed to this new "hope they trip on their way to the end zone" defense and I for one am just thrilled.

Why does nobody ever blame lakatos? He is the secondary coach...he is the one teaching about pass break-ups and tackling techniques...not Grantham. IMO he is as much as at fault as anyone.

I blame every single defensive coach except for Wilson. The D-line is the only unit that has consistently performed and improved week to week. Every other coach on that side of the ball can go to hell.

Met Lakatos during a visit to Johnson Co, couldn't understand a word out of his mouth. Think about it? If a 47 yr old white guy can't understand you......

It would take a rock star hire like Chavis or Foster to keep this recruiting class from falling apart if you cleaned house on Defanse, save Wilson. I don't think you'd be able to see any wholesale change unless a new DC has latitude to install the personnel he needs to get it done.

The linebackers coach has a responsibility for pass coverage also. Its on the HC to fix the DC to fix the SC and the LC

Come on guys lets not go all negative. The plan is to teach these young fellows how to be responsible adults, then teach them how to play a position. Oh, and if there is to time how to wrap up.
Priorities, you know. Gotta have em.

I totally agree. That secondary is atrocious. I understand the struggles earlier in the season. But these guys look just as lost as they did in week 1. There isn't any progress by these players. Swann is the vet of the group and looks just as lost and Mizzou was intentionally picking on him.

The corners didn't play good but not bad either. The safeties were overly horrific. Moore was literally jogging around out there missing tackles and shite.
Mauger should be playing STs for two seasons or redshirted until he can make plays a couple years down the line. The defensive coaches have done a terrible job of not developing depth last season all throughout the secondary. You've got freshmen starting and freshmen backing them up, inexcusable.
