Even if one grants the fact that refs often blow calls, even upon review, has there been anyone in the media (national or local) who has questioned the ruling?

I really don't think these guys understand that all that has to be happening is the ball is starting to come out prior to breaking the goal line. Just like any other fumble, if it is starting to come loose, iris a fumble.

I don't get what you are trying to argue here. At the half yardline the ball is coming out. Video proves that. I could post a picture from the 1.5 yard line and he probably has full possession, but so what? Possession was lost before the ball crossed the goal line. That picture is not near that point
The GIF video only proves that he is no longer holding the ball with his right hand. We can't tell from the GIF whether he still has possession of the ball with his left hand. The picture I provided shows that he does, or that it is not indisputable that he doesn't. The GIF is not good evidence to show that he fumbled. It's also not good evidence to show that he still had possession. The picture I found tends to show that he was gripping the ball by the tip with his left hand, but is ultimately inconclusive. So, the ruling on the field, whatever it was, should have stood. If it was called a fumble, it was a fumble. My understanding is that it was called a TD, and was overturned. BASED ON THE GIF AND PICTURE I POSTED ONLY, I disagree. Totally disputable.

Your picture proves that his left hand is touching the ball between half a yard and yard from the goal line. Video proves even t that point possession is starting to be lost.
So I ask again, what are you arguing? Do we count TD's a yard in front now?
Professionals and almost everyone else disagree

I do understand that, I am simply saying that there is no indisputable evidence in that GIF that it was "coming out" prior to crossing the plane. Thus, if the ruling on the field is a TD, that GIF is not enough to overturn it, as it is not indisputable that the ball was "coming out". A player maintains possession, even if it is with one hand holding the nose of the football.

And again, professionals disagree with you.

And this is why I will continue to argue that replay officials shouldn't be watching GIFs to make their calls.

Based on the GIF alone....get that clear....please....
If the professionals that never screw up, and all the homers who have an agenda believe that it was a fumble, then, hell, I guess I shouldn't bother to question it, right? Hell, why think for myself? I'll just go ahead and vote for Obama.

Agreed. I really wish somebody would show us a different angle. I got nothing but that GIF, which looks pretty clearly like a TD to me.

K. Go to YouTube. Watch video. Hell, find the SC replay. Their slow motion video makes it quite obvious.

Already did. Got nothing. No replay. No game. No highlights. Nothing.
I said before, if I see something different from another angle, I am open to reconsider.

Gotcha
I thought it was a fumble but I don't know. What matters is the result in the game. I'm not going to argue one way or the other.

I just watched it on Youtube. The video makes it a little clearer when the ball came out of his left hand, and I do think it was probably out of his left hand before the tip of the ball hit the plane, but I'm not sure it's indisputable. Maybe. Very, very tough call.
