There is understandably little to discern from playing an opponent like this, but I'd still like to hear your thoughts. Impressed with any new guys? Anyone still struggling? General impression?

Great game offensively and defensively. In the first half, AJ and our receivers were machines. Run game looked good (Yeldon, Drake, Fowler) and our defense was great. Eddie Jackson got beat deep (no completion) and had a couple balls caught on him but he is young and will grow. CJ Mosely was a monster and Ivory did some great things.

In the second half (well started end of second quarter) it was all youngsters. Derrick Henry looked more impressive running the ball then Tenpenny. Chris Black was monstrous (in first half too). Blake Sims wasn't great but he definitely was not as bad as some of these 'chicken littles' are making him out to be.

offensively, for the most part we looked like we were supposed too

defensively, we gave up some passes, and a field goal.

am i the only one that thinks the targeting rule is the reason vinnie pulled up on that receiver and allowed that completion in the field goal drive

I thought Blake Sims did well, and was really impressive when escaping a potential sack.

Nope....I saw the same thing. Vinnie could have separated the guy from the ball but didnt want to take a chance and get thrown out

But but he's a black QB and he isn't as good as AJ!

Offensive line played well. AJ didn't get touched and they had a great push. I thought drake played very well. They had no shot to run the ball. G state just didn't have the dudes to make a good showing. The backups didn't play very well overall, but there were several bright spots. It was a great showing by the starters. I don't think anyone was seriously injured. Devall and e jack got banged up.

Mosely got banged up too on the WR crack, but he should be fine.

A'Shawn Robinson about took someones head off early in the game. And he got his first start of the year. This kid is going to be a stud for the next 2 years.

Chris Black was one that really stood out to me. Derrick Henry also had several big carries

ETA: One guy who really disappointed and should have performed well in the situation was Dee Hart at RB.

He did one thing that was very impressive. He had a 40 yard punt return while appearing to run 6.0 40.
