Bama game isn't a fair example for either side. Not just a blow out but the weather delay really screwed things up.

Would you be kind enough to share a picture of the student side after the Bama game resumed? Or is this going to be a one sided agenda based argument?
You have this fixated in your head, but you're dead wrong. The alumni side is full way more often than the student side. This is just a fact. It's basically ridiculous that this is even being discussed, it's not even close.

MS2, I don't quite understand your crusade against the alumni fans. The students are just as shitty, if not a little worse.

I will give you that the alumni (or adult) fans at MU games don't behave like the adult fans at other SEC venues. It seems like the adults could get a little more rowdy. But your argument about alumni leaving more than students is just not accurate.

I wish. Not ever gonna happen.
I'm thinking of getting into the vending business, selling flasks at SEC tailgates.

This whole student vs. alumni arguing is counterproductive. How about everyone needs to stick and stay and everyone needs to be loud and all will be good.
I saw somewhere that attendance is down by I think around 10% so far. At first I thought crap. But then realized, 4 games into the season(each year consisting of 3 home games to that point), last year we had hosted UGA and ASU as opposed to nobodies this year. So really, I don't think being down 10% at this point is so bad.

I started this thread as a rant against all of our fans, and particularly in the section displayed in this photo. But your description of the photo is somewhat exaggerated. This is not just a few minutes before the national anthem. It had filled in quite a bit by the time they played the anthem.
My bigger complaint is the lack of enthusiasm once play begins.

The east side has been over 50% empty in the 2nd half of every game. Hopefully that will cease to occur with conference play. Regardless, the crowd as a whole needs to be more involved in the game (East and West side), from beginning to end!

I'm going to tell you this straight. If you want to know why fans are quiet/uninterested in the games, then there are two things to keep in mind. First, we have played nobody that anyone cares about. Second, this being what I believe to be the bigger problem, we as a fan base are negative. I have read too many times this year how we will be lucky to win any games. Why should we be excited at a game if we think we are going to lose? If you need an example of the low expectations just read what you guys post everyday in this forum.

Faurot's been pretty loud in the past, but there's been some pretty poor performances by the Tigers to release some of the excitement right from the start in the games at Faurot so far this year. No excuses, but I can understand why it's not been great so far.
The problem can be reconciled by winning.

When you're down to Arky State at halftime, it's a lil hard to get jacked up.
