quote:by who's standards......yours and espn's, look i know UF doesn't score 20-pts per quarter, but holding the ball for 40-mins a game and 403-yds offense per game doesn't sound like "an abortion of an offense", besides it's ok to only score 23-pts a game when you hold your opponents to 12.5-pts.
And UF has an abortion of an offense...
See th difference

Agreed. A&M won because we outscored Arky. Florida has a better defense than A&M, but it is realistic to think Arky should be able to put up 17-20 points. Will Florida score enough points?
Hate to sound cliché but its going to come down to line play and turn overs. That was the main difference in Ark-Aggie game.

I predict the game to be something like 24-20. What is the spread?

10.5? Would not have guessed that. HAS to be in the Swamp. Still, that's interesting...

Combination of the swamp and Florida's defense, I imagine.

Can anybody name the last time a high powered "air raid HUNH" offense like the one guided by Heisman winner JohnnyManzeil RAN the Ball ( possibly the same play?) 20 times in a row without any real resistance?
Fwiw....I'm pretty sure the gator staff also noticed that.....

No one but Arkansas fans are worried about Arkansas. This is a prep game for real competition next week.

And if they manage to do that they will win.....
Not rocket science slick....

More to your point, Allen just really not that great. Can't throw the ball downfield very well into coverage. Seemed to lacking in arm strength. Also, he seemed to throw a few passes into good coverage that had no business being thrown. Overall lucky he didn't have 4 interceptions.

I'll say it again, hogs lose 31-14.
17-14 gators after 3, hogs can't real it in, gators pull away.

quote:Did you even watch the game? He had a touchdown dropped and was 4/6 on passes over 20 yards. Is he Wilson or Mallett? Hell no. But to say he's not very good just isn't accurate. He's in the top 5 QB's in the conference.

Have you watched boa constrictors pounce on a large prey? Its hard to watch a deer being squeezed to death slowly but surely. Arkie fans will have that feeling Saturday night as their offense sits on their helmuts while we double the time of possession and run an efficient office with Matt Jones (no, not THAT Matt Jones) toting the pigskin and Murphy dipping and diving and throwing 80% completions.
Enjoy your visit and I recommend the museum of natural history and Lake Alice for those with time to look around.
Like the deer...I expect some kicking and wailing, but its inevitable. Your defense will cave in in the 4th qt when Boom brings in 7 OL to start blowing up the DL. The red clad visitors will head to the exits when they realize 2 scores behind us in the 4th qt is like 4 TDs behind some teams.

I agree with the Gators pulling away after 3Q, I'm thinking more 24-13 ish. I still the Gator D will be solid, I don't see Florida being spectacular on O (even though Murphy has shown he can at least be competent at QB). Jones/Brown hopefully will have good games.

Did you read? I said gators pull away in the 4th, win by 17.
