Georgia's offense is very good, and that will get you through most games, until you meet another good offense like Clemson or LSU.
Without any defensive identity, and 3, count them 3 true freshmen who are starting on defense, along with 5 sophomores, and a couple of older juco's who are fresh to the program, UGA just won't be able to contain LSU's top-tier offense. UGA does not have 1 single senior starting on defense.
In 2014, I expect UGA to have a premier defense.
But UGA just isn't there yet.
Murray is great, Gurley is great, receivers and tight ends are great, offensive line is pretty damn good, and UGA will score points. The stats will look pretty good.
But UGA's secondary won't keep up with Landry and Beckham. UGA's linebackers and 3-man front won't be able to stop LSU's stable of top shelf running back talent. Mettenburger will have all the time in the world in the pocket because Grantham refuses to rush more than 4 against 5 great offensive linemen.
Right now LSU is an 8 and UGA is a 7.
The only chance UGA has is if LSU plays down to 7, and LSU is known for playing down to their competition, and UGA plays up to an 8.
This game is going to fly by.. it will last 4 hours but before you can blink, it will be 4th quarter. History shows us the best team always wins the 4th quarter. Right now, this weekend, LSU is the better team.

Well there's simply no way to say that. There's nothing to say they are definitely better now, and obviously no one knows who is the better team this weekend.

I am not buying it. I feel the same way about LSU's defense. I think it conceivable that UGA can hang 50 on this defense. I really do.
I don't know that LSU can score 51.
I am a huge positiger, but I have lost all confidence that we will win. I hope I am wrong, but I don't think I am.
This feels like Auburn 2006 but as an offensive instead of a defensive battle. I just don't think LSU wins it.

Ga has never beaten 2 top 10 teams in Athens in 1 season, EVER. Murray is a great QB, but he should have been intercepted 3 times vs N Texas. Gurly looked very average in that game. N Tx moved the ball through the air, 236 yards a TD and 1 int. Mett, Hill, Landry, and OBJ will have a field day. Our D will intercept AM twice, book it. LSU-42 Ga-20

Well then you're stupid as frick. It would take a couple turnovers for them to even get over 40.

Well I mean to be fair, how many times do you think we've even played 2 top 10 teams in Athens in the same year?

If LSU plays all four quarters like they played the first quarter against Auburn, then you are right. Georgia cannot beat them. Hell nobody can beat them if they play that way. Here's hoping for that outcome

Auburn sucks and had a chance to beat them at Death Valley at night.

Almost everything you said about UGA can be said for LSU. We lost just as much on defense. Buttholes should be tight on both sides of the fence. I do feel good about LSU's chances, though. I think this team is highly focused and motivated.
