He doesn't like any SEC town. When asked why he chose Florida then, he said "You ain't never gettin' that out of me".

I saw another interview where the interviewer asked him about the Jeff Driskel criticizim and he said "I don't know you have to ask him that". The interviewer the asked him " don't you talk to him?" and Easely said "Nah "

Hates the south? Well then he's right at home in Gainesville.

Same thing is happening at Ole Miss, too. Add in UK basketball (and now football it seems).
It is unfathomable to me that kids from the urban North would choose to live in the rural South unless some other factor is at play. Hot co-eds? Better weather? Dubious explanations.
The football in the SEC is top-class and therefore attracts kids who want to play the very best. That makes sense, at least.
As for leaving Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc. to go to Kentucky and beat up weak teams in a part of the country that doesn't give much weight to college bb... Hmm.

he's good. I don't know why he didn't declare for the draft.

he's a New Yorker. I don't blame him for not liking smaller cities. Nashville is probably the only real city in the SEC. Even Nashville is meh imo

No. The other one did.

Black culture is Southern in the North. We have had plenty of basketball players from Chicago.

Last year he was recovering about his ACL repair I think. His knees were not great. He wanted to be a first rounder.
He is playing like a top 5 pick.

You say that here. But you'd protest if I said this in regards to Chicago's gunplay problems, I suspect.
It's true that most AAs in the North have family roots in the South -- especially in the Great Migration destination cities (Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, etc). But the kids who grow up in those cities have vastly different realities/experiences than most AAs in the South. Similarities? Sure. A 100% shared culture? No.

Really wish there was a transcript and not just this guy's twitter. Really hard to gauge what is going on here.
