Would you leave a comfortable situation to conquer a new challenge, if it sealed you as the GREATEST OF ALL TIME?

The undisputed Greatest of all time??!!??

That is the situation Nick Saban is facing now.

What will he do?

What would you do?

Ummm, no it's not, since saban isn't the undisputed greatest coach of all time.

He's not even the greatest BCS-era football coach from the SEC. That's Phil Fulmer. Anybody can win a national title with talent, dedication, and methodical planning. It takes something special to win one while not giving a frick.

Man you LSU folks wishing Saban would leave because it's the only way you can win are so pathetic.

I'm sure Saban is slamming the F5 button on his laptop on tRant even as we speak, hoping to get ideas on what he should do with his future.

John Wooden is the greatest coach in American sports history and there isn't a close second.

Pro: I would say Lombardie. He basically made Green Bay's winning tradition out of nothing.

College: A lot harder to answer. How are we quantifying this? Best flat out coach, or best recruiter who gets the most out of his superior athletes?

Tressell was pretty good at Youngstown State and then Ohio State, but we all saw how that turned out. Saban obviously gets great athletes and coaches them up very well.

It's almost an impossible question to answer. Plenty of coaches win 8-10 games a year just because they have superior athletes. Plenty of coaches also go under the radar doing a great coaching job with inferior athletes just competing with the big boys and losing by 14+, so no one thinks anything of it.

I guess if I HAD to give an answer IMHO of the greatest college football coach of all time, I would have to say Bobby Bowden.
