Is there even a slight chance of seeing Clowney in college next year?

Clowney is not having a good year so far, needless to say. I was able to defend him after the UNC game, but it's hard to now without being a straight up homer. If he continues to have a letdown season, how much would his draft stock fall? Would it be enough for him to consider staying another year?

Or he truly might not care anymore, as some have said. He might be biding his time, waiting to make money. That goes back to his draft stock though.

FWIW, I still think Clowney is gone regardless. But I don't think it's as farfetched anymore to think that he might get advised into staying another year IF he continues to play poorly.

It's funny how the people who are saying he should sit out this year are looking more sane everyday.

No way he risks injury. He will go first round and he won't be back to SC as a player in 2014.

No, he has more value as a pass rusher in the NFL than he does at SC. He's gone.

I think it will drop some, due to his attitude but a first rounder, regardless.

He gone.

I think he's seeing those dollar signs already. I would say he is already as good as gone. Having a letdown year wont hurt his stock either cause he will show out at the combine.

No chance he comes back. That would be a terrible idea on his part no matter what.

He has a better chance of getting a degree than winning the heisman

Less than Manziel. And there's a 0% chance of seeing Manziel in college next year.

Be more worried that he doesn't get John Jenkins syndrome and has already stopped going to class, his eligibility will be in question and could cost yall some games.

Also.. he's still 275 pounds and runs a 4.4 40 yd.

Even if he's lazy and out of shape, there aren't any NFL teams that wouldn't take him in the 2nd round just to lock him in the gym for 6 months.

I think most college fans want this guy to graduate. Tired of hearing about him and his NFL future. He thinks he is bigger than college football so they should have let him go to NFL.

Hes gone without a doubt.

And I still dont think hes playing as badly as some people want to believe. Hes getting all the attention up front and nobody else has stepped up on defense to prevent the other team from doing that.

Hes a DE and can't affect the game on every down the way a QB or RB can and thats the lens that people are trying to look at him through
