Louisville Hate Week (Sat 9/14, Noon EST at Commonwealth on ESPN)

I have a love/hate relationship with this week as a Louisville resident. My city would be so much better if we plowed that plot of linebeards and Tards between Central and Floyd. I blame them for potholes on I-65, the weather, the insane pollen count, overpopulation, the downfall of 4th Street Live, and the separation of my natural peanut butter. They're easy to hate and I love to do it. The only reason I'm not a suspect in the Cardinal football player hit and run (he's okay BTW) is because they're not worth the dent that would've formed on my car. And if there was ever a fanbase that deserved to contract the Ebola virus with a mutation that would only pass from one Dirty Bird fan to another, it's this one.....
But now that I have that out of my system, here we go.
My heart says we have a shot, my head says we're probably screwed. I'd be absolutely tickled if we stay within the spread and put up a good showing. I really can't ask for more than that of this group. History says the team that controls the ground game wins this one. We have a very good stable of backs, but they also have Michael Dyer and Teddy Bridgewater (my key players of the week for obvious reasons) with his obvious rushing ability. I will say their run defense looked pretty flimsy against EKU. I think our best chance is to mix it up like we did yesterday, but Smith is going to have to tighten it up. He had a couple yesterday that if Miami (OH) had a serviceable secondary they'd have been picks. But if we can keep their offense off the field, I think we have a decent shot against their defense.
University of Louisville Football Roster 13-14
Thoughts?
ETA: The line has Louisville as a 7.5 point favorite. Some places it's been bet up to 10.5.

Belle,
I'm glad you got that out of your system.
Do I think we really have a shot? On the fence actually. It's a home game, we showed we can move the ball yesterday, and I'm never fully convinced on how good UL really is. Bridgewater is the real deal, no question, but are they really that good. I'm not sold. Even the win against Florida didn't do too much for me, Florida didn't want to be there, and they don't look to be that good anyway.
I'm surprised the spread isn't higher, but I guess since it is at Commonwealth, perhaps that makes sense. UK will be fired up, no doubt, just not sure if the lack of talent can be made up for in enthusiasm.
I hope UK keeps it a nailbiter till the end, that would make me happy.

Big game this week. I'm expecting a close game for about a half and then KY's lack of depth is going to kick in.
What happened to it? I haven't been for several years but it was a pretty sweet place to hang out then.
Oh and as long as we're posting pics of fans.

I've never been a fan of 4th Street Live. It doesn't help that it's turned into a revolving door of overpriced, low quality businesses either. I stay in the Highlands where I can spend my local money at local places and get a much better experience.
UKAthletics.com Coverage of Stoops Monday Press Conference
Some good stuff from Bud Dupree and Jonathan George as well.

I've only been to 4th Street Live a time or two and enjoyed it. If I do go out up there it's usually on Bardstown Road somewhere or St. Matthews.
Is this a better pic?

My hate can't be limited to just one week.

An aristocrat! Probably a Wick's fan over Impellizzeri's fan.

I'm actually more of a Spinelli's fan (it's the White Pizza). Or Papalinos.
I don't do pizza much though. I'm usually at places like Dragon King's Daughter, Wild Eggs, Comeback Inn, etc.

When in Louisville I am a Tony Boombazz guy but that is mainly because I know his mother / grandmother / aunt from back in the days when she had a food joint back in the 80's. I have too much Tolly Ho in me so Barbara Lee's is my kind of food joint in Da Ville.

Boombazz has some decent stuff but I hate that you can't sub for their potato chips with their sandwiches.
