FOX Sports Southwest has announced participating program distributors in Texas that will offer Saturday's (Sept. 7) Sam Houston State-Texas A&M football game at 6:00 p.m. CT on pay-per-view. Suggested retail price is $39.95.

Bill Land (play-by-play), former Texas A&M wide receiver Shea Walker (analyst), and Texags Radio personality Kayce Smith (sideline reporter) will call the game from Kyle Field.

FOX Sports Southwest will produce and distribute the pay-per-view telecast to participating program distributors in Texas. Each year, the SEC designates a home game for member institutions to offer on a pay-per-view basis.

Listed below are Texas program distributors that will offer the telecast (more are expected to be added and will be announced prior to kickoff). Cable TV subscribers must have digital cable to order the telecast. Customers can order the game from their set-top boxes or by calling their program provider.

This may be a stupid fricking question, but can you purchase a PPV event and then record it with your Tivo/DVR? I'll be at a wedding from 2:30-6 or so and its an hour drive back home so I will miss the first half.

I've been told you can and the recording deletes itself after a set period of time but I've never tried it.

sorry, I have no idea. I guess you might call whoever our provider is and ask but I doubt a person at a call center will have any idea.

All I can say is I've noticed at least one or two games a week on ESPN3 that end up being in SD.

I don't think you can DVR it with Time Warner. Not sure about others.

You could always go old school with a VCR.

Or you could record from the TV to a computer. You'll have to get some equipment though.

How to record live TV to a computer
