How do UK and UL compare in terms of athletic facilities?
They have some newer facilities on campus, but UK has also had several upgrades and will have a $110 million dollar football upgrade (to both Commonwealth and Nutter Fieldhouse) completed in a couple years. Rupp is also due to for renovations and that'll happen soon as well.
There are some NBA teams that can't compare to our basketball practice facility. And I've been to both the Yum Practice Center and the Joe Craft Center and we have the edge there by quite a bit.

The learning curve in Basketball won't be as steep.
I'm not saying they can't be good. They'll easily be #3 in the conference coming in. But it'll always be about UNC and Duke. That's just how they roll.

Football and Baseball will be a different story.
Baseball is probably where it hurts the most. Football will take a hit as well unless they build some depth.

The ACC is light years better in baseball than the Big East was.

Not looking forward to the Duke refs every year.

A game I may have to actually cheer for U of L in

Not looking forward to the Duke refs either. Nonetheless UofL basketball will always be OK regardless of what conference we are in.

I concur.
Football just needs to keep bringing in Florida kids and it should be ok, also.
Baseball could easily fall off a cliff.

I trust in our AD. Tom Jurich is one of the best in the country. Wouldn't shock me at all to see Petrino back here (assuming he is still at WKU) at some point if Strong ever left

Hire another coach that can recruit in Florida.
There is a ton of talent down there, and the move to the ACC should help in luring some of it up here.

Considering the shape he left the program in I really really doubt they would want him back. Coach Strong is doing it the right way and if he leaves the AD would be smart to hire a guy that demands accountability like Strong does.

It's not like Strong is pulling a lot of talent away from UF and FSU. He's built a successful program at UL because he's a damn good coach. It'll be tough to find another coach who can sustain what he's done.

We should kick out Kentucky and add Louisville

Not saying that he is. He is getting better guys than you would find up here though.

SEC probably wants to keep schools that have championships in football or basketball. What does Mizzou contribute again?

Petrino has burned too many bridges to ever end up back at UofL.

Viewership and brains.
Posted on 9/2/13 at 1:25 am to KCM0Tiger
If Sheldon Richardson was any indication of the "brains"...
Posted on 9/2/13 at 1:27 am to BluegrassBelle
Well our football team did have the highest APR in the SEC, and Sheldon was on our team..so what is that saying about everyone else?
Posted on 9/2/13 at 1:30 am to KCM0Tiger
Plenty of walkons to bring up that APR?

You really think Mizzou basketball is a better tv draw than UofL?
