You could hear the frustration in the dudes voice with every interview he did this offseason. He'll either fall apart or just absolutely anger frick everybody to prove a point, and I really think it will be the latter. This latest bit is just the last straw.

Johnny strikes me as the type who fuels on his haters and doubters. After he won the Heisman, everyone was saying (including myself) that he wasn't focused, he's getting a big head, etc. And he answers the critics by breaking the Cotton Bowl record for total yards by a single player and routes the Big 12 Co-Champs. I think we can expect the same this season, and with the reports of his vast improvement, it will be damn fun to watch

I get this same impression and much like you expected a little let down for the Cotton Bowl only to be proved wrong.
Kinda looking forward to the 1st half against Rice just to see what the offense can do without JFF.
