The Bluegrass Miracle......
LINK
Or......
The 31 pt comeback in the 2nd half.......
LINK
On a side note, Daddy Dale's right hand man Johnny Jones recruiting like a machine. LSU ball bout to challenge UK once again.
Great times seeing Dale go toe to toe with UK back in the day.
ETA: I was at the 31 pt fiasco.

Man, the 2 losses we had that year were just KILLERS.
I've never been more upset than the Arky game.

It all worked out well for you guys anyway. The 2007 season in general was the SEC's finest IMO. Some really, really great games that year.

It worked out, but I remember that morning after Arky. Went to Louies for breakfast and it was a morgue.
Went home, put on a playstation game and put down a 5th.
I've never been more upset over a game. Even 21-0 didn't have the hurt at the time of the Arky game.

We all have that one game. Mine was the 2008 Florida game. It's so much worse knowing you just got beat than knowing you beat yourself (2010 Auburn). I was more angry with the coaching after the Auburn game. The Florida SECCG was just brutal. We did everything right, the way we had done it all season and gone undefeated, but we came up short. I'm still not quite over it.

I hear you. I'm over 21-0. It was bullshite to begin with. But, this is the UK board, so no bitching about it.
Back to my OP, the shittiest ball loss I can't get over is the '06 Final four to UCLA. Man, we just bombed. So sad.

(I'm just gonna substitute LSU for Alabama)
Alabama and Kentucky have had some pretty great basketball games the past few years, at least the regular season games. All have been within 10 points, even when Kentucky won the NC. We've actually beaten them the past two times they came to Coleman.
Alabama and Kentucky football.... I might be wrong about this, but I think Kentucky is the only SEC team Alabama hasn't lost to at home (including Legion Field).

That's amazing.
OK, I did enjoy clinching the SEC BBall title in '09 on Tasmins 3 at the end.
Chime in UK fans!!!!

What about our run in '87?
In all honesty, no one has stepped up to ball with UK than LSU and Dale did in the '80s
Great fricking battles

Certainly the Bluegrass Miracle and the 31pt comeback are at the top of the list.
I also liked the win Kentucky got in Tiger Stadium in 1998 I think, with Couch as the QB.
Didn't Maravich and Issel play at the same time? Would have loved to seen those two in a game against each other.
I was at the bluegrass miracle and when I saw Morriss get doused with gatorade with 40 or so seconds left I turned to my friend next to me and said that somehow "UK would lose this game". Not kidding.
I did have to laugh when it was all over though at the UK fans on one goal post and LSU celebrating in the other end zone. Only at UK.

Between 1917 and 1947 UK played Alabama 26 times with (1) win in Lexington in 1922 and (1) tie in Birmingham in 1939.
1917 - 1947 : 1 - 24 -1
1948 - 1971 : did not play
1972 - 1973 : 0 - 2 - 0
1974 - 1979 : did not play
1980 - 1981 : 0 - 2 - 0
1982 - 1987 : did not play
1988 - 1989 : 0 - 2 - 0
1990 - 1995 : did not play
1996 - 1997 : 1 - 1 - 0
1998 - 2002 : did not play
2003 - 2004 : 0 - 2 - 0
2005 - 2007 : did not play
2008 - 2009 : 0 - 2 - 0
Considering the Cats and Tide have only played about a dozen games since World War II it is not as impressive as it sounds.

Football: The Bluegrass Miracle. It was absolutely absurd, even though '07 is the moment I'd rather reflect on.
Basketball: The Mardi Gras Miracle easily. One of the best comebacks I've ever seen as a UK fan. McCarty went into full on beast mode.

Yeah, I wish we played Alabama more in football.
Ever since expansion started the Football match-ups between UK and Bama have been few and far between.
