Some may consider quality over quantity. Almost all of Bama's current NFL players are scrubs.

Still a fact. Nobody in their right mind would choose to live in Mississippi over any other state in the SEC besides maybe Arkansas. At least Arkansas has some nice terrain/scenery. Mississippi is flat wasteland.

Statements like this are just plain dumb and irrational. Every state has it good parts and not-so-good parts. There are parts of Mississippi I would not choose to live in, but the same is true for Alabama, Louisiana, Arkansas, etc. I choose to live in Mississippi because I have a great job here. I live in a very nice area. I have access to restaurants, shopping and activities that are on par with any place in the Southeast. The people in Mississippi are very hospitable, and the professional community in which I work is as solid as anywhere. Frankly, I haven't seen much in Tuscaloosa that would attract me to live there, fwiw.

McFarland Drive headed to Bamer is the worst ghetto street I have ever seen leading into a major university. Lynch Street in Jxn leading to Jxn State is a stately approach surrounded by splendor in comparison. McFarland is like driving on Hwy 80 through Pearl, Mississippi.

What is so great about Bama's degrees again?

You do not have to do any work, much less even know what your degree is in, to play football at Bama.

State fans, what have you heard?

nothing besides this shite.

I don't honestly see how you see that as a big obstacle that the kid didn't go to his high school's coaches university. It's not like he was gonna play for him, or hell, even see him for the next four years of his life. Unless Ross and the coach have some super special relationship than this is started up from pure ignorance out off you, and it breaks my heart to see you stoop to this level.

Which, in turn, makes about as much sense as the notion that the President can just wave a magic wand and - poof! - the economy's great!

I've never said he could. But his current policies are making the economy worse, not better. Middle class is being squeezed by high taxes, and once Obamacare is implemented it will be even worse.

High inflation, high unemployment, and a weak dollar. QE by the Fed is not gonna solve these problems. The administration is going to have to loosen up on the energy sector and business taxes/regulation for the economy to grow. The right ingredients are there, the Gov't just has to let it happen.

Inflation is trending down.

Unemployment is trending down.

Taxes have not gone up, except on 1% of 316,000,000 Americans.

Yes Most NFL caliber football players are scrubs. Especially all of the Starters.

Really I have live in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, and Alabama in the South. Some great places to live and rat holes in all those states. Being a coast rat I prefer being within a few miles of the Gulf but obviously you have never been to Oxford, Natchez or Ocean Springs Mississippi which are some of the most desirable towns to live in America.
