I'll be in College Station for the game against Bama, since the LSU match up looks pretty boring that week
, and my friend offered me a student ticket. Do I need to use someones ID to get into Kyle Field or do they just look at the ticket?
TIA

TIA

Last year I was going to buy a ticket off of someone. All of my friends did get legit tickets from scalpers (6 of them). I just went to a bar with another buddy - worked out well. Northgate is where the bars are and its pretty close to the stadium. You can feel the energy.

I know that at Bama, you have to get a student ticket converted to a non-student ticket (which costs extra). I would imagine that is the case at most schools.

If you can borrow and ID you may be able to squeak through the gate. Otherwise you have to go to the ticket office and buy a stamp that converts from student to regular ticket. It costs half the face value of the ticket.

What's the deal if you do proceed and get into the stadium on a student ticket. Don't the Aggie students stand all game and kiss after TD's and other shiz like that?

I would buy the stamp.
Scalpers are generally legit but with demand higher than ever this year you never know. Probably safe for Aubie but I would be nervous about buying a Bama ticket from just anyone, demand for that game is insane.

I don't guess? So you know, right?

You can have your friend pull the ticket as a guest ticket and put the stamp on it ahead of time. That will probably save you some long lines on game day.

Just spend the money to buy the stamp. Waiting in line to use a fake student ID, getting rejected, having to wait in line again to get the stamp, then waiting in line again will ruin your Saturday.

Guest tickets are for persons who wish to stand in the student sections. Guesttickets may be obtained one oftwo ways: 1) buying a FULL PRICE guest ticket (which includes a label), or 2) converting a student ticket by purchasing a guest label (which is half the price of a guest ticket). Availability of guest tickets may vary for each game. Student tickets may be converted to guest tickets at any time during the week (including on game day). Ticket and payment must be presented together atthe time of conversion.

In addition to an ID you'll also need a proper jar. If you show up without one or one that is brand new it won't matter how much you look like the person on the ID...dead giveaway. Better get a jar now if you go that route. Of course, the guest ticket conversion option includes your own commemorative guest jar so there's that.

What the others said: pay the conversion fee. It'll be $50 for that game.
I tried using another guy's ID when I was in Tuscaloosa for the A&M game and got turned down, I had a hell of a time still but could have been better if I paid the fee and made it in the game.

LSU/Kent St or Bama/A&M...hmmm.
Sometimes you just want to see good football.
I got to go to the Bama/Penn St game when AU was grinding on Miss St in 2011...glad I went too.
