According to The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Patterson had this to say about Miles' decision to let Hill's LSU teammates vote on his reinstatement:

"I'm sure if it was some opponent they'd beat by 100 points (the players) wouldn't have a vote. It's not my worry. I've got to play whoever they put on the field."

Patterson, meanwhile, has suspended one of his best players for the LSU game. And he wasn't afraid to draw a comparison.

"My whole team would vote Devonte (Fields) to be back on the team because they all want to win," Patterson said. "That doesn't teach life lessons."

Gregg Doyle just tweeted something about it, so I'm pretty sure I know what it's about.

Preparing his excuses. Les & co have made their choices, stop crying and get your team ready.

Doesn't matter, TCU is still gonna make it a four quarter game.

He is right, but you don't say these things before a game. You don't want to give your opponent any extra motivation to beat you.

One could say that TCU could sneak up on LSU this game because it means more to them than it does to LSU, but comments like this will fire LSU up and take that edge away.

He may think differently if Hill is suspended for that game along with the entire D and special teams.

Yeah, I'm sure he'd kick a player off his team after the first strike, right?

O wait

You know he's probably going to let Fields play right?

So does that make him a dumbass, a jackass, or a hypocrite....or all the above?
