He doesn't look like 320. Wow.

Damn, I would've guessed about 275. That isn't a fat 320 at all.

Ashawn is listed at 320. Kid has been doing work. That is a trim 320.

I'm amazed by how he and Montravius carry their weight. Monty is listed at 305. They both look alot smaller

Matthews.

Tray Matthews will start at FS this year. Here he is with JUCO transfer SS Shaquille Fluker...

Also, here is one of OLB Davin Bellamy. He looks as if he could have an immediate impact this year as well.

CB Shaq Wiggins has been getting rave reviews from fellow teammates. He is small, but plays big and covers really well.

ILB Reggie Carter will get a lot of PT this fall as well.

OLB Leonard Floyd is getting compared to Barkevious Mingo with his long frame and extreme range.

Matthews hasn't killed anyone this Fall (that has been released, anyway) but during the Spring he did concuss Justin Scott-Wesley who is a 5'11 220lb receiver. Aaron Murray said of the play that for the first time in his life he thought he had actually seen someone just die on the football field. Though a name was never released, apparently another WR just laid down and played dead a few plays later when it looked as though Matthews would tune him up.

Long story short, Tray will start for 3 years at safety.

Kimbrough and O'Neal are big as all hell for ILBs. They'll play too, though Carter is the odds on favorite to get early PT.

Matthews kind of reminds me of Mark Barron, as far as build goes.

And get suspended for 4 games a year under the new rules. Enforcing the middle of the field isn't a good thing like it once was.

Funny you say that; from reports Mathews has amazing fundamentals on form tackling. The one I worry about with the new rules, is his counterpart, Fluker. His highlights show he goes headhunting on almost every hit.

Clowney's hit in the bowl game was classic form tackling and it was on a RB and that ACC ref still would have ejected him. Doing it to a defenseless WR would be worse

Yeah Matthews at FS isn't the one I'm worried about. Apparently, Tray is an all around gifted football player, both athletically and mentally. Whoever plays SS (JHC will in some sets, in others he'll play the Star) worries me. Fluker is an unknown as a JUCO with a highlight reel full of devastating hits. Corey Moore has had some questions about being right between the ears.
