I tried to find an old topic but we really do meander a lot Figured I'd make a master thread

Kyle construction is officially under way.
View of Student (East) Side - the press box is going above the 3rd deck and you can see they are adding suites in between the 1st/2nd decks. Only the 1st deck on the student side will be rebuilt
Student Side from slightly different angle
Student Side from new South End Zone
View of Alumni (West) Side - the box in the middle on the edge of the 3rd deck I believe are the broadcast booths (tv and radio). The tv cameras should be slightly lower as I think they are being built along the different rows of suites. This should make it easier to have better quality broadcasts and multiple camera angles. I believe they are using NFL standards.

Another North Side from a different angle
And again on North Side - anyone know what that statue is supposed to be?

West Side entrance - hopefully it's easier to change the bulbs in the letters

History of Kyle Field
1929 (original horseshoe - Kyle was first used in 1905, but didn't get a completed horseshoe built around the track til 29. Capacity around 33k)
1941 (you can see the old Kyle Baseball Field backed up to it. Olsen didn't open across the tracks til 78. Deware Fieldhouse was our original gym and it sits just north of the horseshoe. Sort of faint but kinda looks like a church)
1967 (with 2nd decks, capacity reaches 48k. Deware is just about the T in Texas Aggie. Our 2nd gym, G Rollie White, is the large flat building in the upper right corner attached to Kyle by the parking lot)
1996ish (guessing on year but Deware is torn down and the Zone isn't there so gotta be 96-97. They added the 3rd deck in 1978. The building to the left of the jumbotron is Netum Steed which will be scrapped. The angled tennis courts in the middle is where the Bright Complex is today. Between Kyle and G Rollie is the Read Building (pronounced REED). I'm not sure when it was built but it is also being torn down. I had a class there but for the life of me I can't remember what it was)
2001 (the North End Zone "The Zone" was built in 1998. This shot just makes it easier to see the levels but this is the first game post-9/11. This is how Kyle exists today. You can see we already had temp bleachers up in the South End Zone at that point)
2011ish (An overview of the current state of things minus the Davis Center which was built in 2012. The Bright Complex is there and the McFerrin Center (indoor facility) is to the lower left)

Will the south endzone be complete for the 2014 season? How much do we expect to be complete?

In the renderings they've shown over the past couple of years there have names on the four corner towers. One said John David Crow, another said Bear Bryant, and so on. I haven't seen any of that going up. Does anyone have any info on that?

Just found out I'm going to the first game in fully renovated Kyle Field.
I. Am. SO. PUMPED.
Never thought I'd say that about a game featuring Ball St.
