wow, that seems like it would be near impossible to hoist the weight to do that.

We got our tower cranes down and are now using the little portable jobs like this one at Faurot.

At this point every SEC stadium is going to be a top notch gameday experience in one form or another.

No injuries, and it fell outside the stadium. Double positive out of a bad situation.

I suppose dropping a bucket of concrete on a mezzanine might cause the need to tear down an entire new section and rebuild it even if it didn't kill anybody, yep, coulda been much worse.

I'm assuming you're talking about the SMU cheerleaders versus corps?

There is some out there, almost all edited. As I recall the SMU cheerleaders pretty much started it with one of them getting on his hands and knees behind the corps turd, like you do in middle school, and the other shoved him back over that guy. The corps guy got up and pulled the sabre. Nothing happened.

The corps guy got kicked out of school while that clip is celebrated by longhorn fans everywhere. Usually the videos don't show the idiot getting shoved around on the field before hand.

Anyway, from TexAgs again:

After this season the "Former Student" Side, the one with the Kyle Field lettering, will be imploded and rebuilt.

They're moving the stands even closer. That's going to be epic.

So if I'm reading that diagram correctly, the first deck's general seating will be cut almost in half? And replaced by suites? Do season ticket holders just get relocated to the second deck right above?

Yeah, I'm not sure where they got located to. I believe that pretty much the entire stadium was uprooted from their seats and given the chance to choose again. I don't remember the details.

But this is a main reason why for one year only next year the capacity will be well north of the final 102,000. Before they demo the Former Student side it will be 106-109K. Then those seats get eliminated.
