I keep reading "41-25-3" and "28-20-3" smack on the Rant.

This was in an irrelevant thread, so to keep that one on topic (sort of), let's address this here.
All-Time Record v. another opponent seems to be a fairly weak bit of fodder that is pretty irrelevant going back past 5-10 years. Yet, it's thrown around on the Rant and elsewhere without consideration to how said record was compiled.
For, example:
Yes, A&M has been the weaker opponent, and there's no excuse for losses other than being the weaker team and all, but, isn't that a really weak-arse form of smack? I mean, yeah you own the All-Time series record, but look at this:

Blame your athletic department for agreeing to that shite. And while you're at it, blame them for agreeing to play an away game at La Tech last year. Have some damn pride.

LSU didn't travel to A&M for the same reason they don't travel to ULL or LA Tech. We had to for a long time because we were in the same conference. We didn't travel to A&M again until we were once again in the same conference.

Now, that's undeniable, strong smack. There's no need for 28-20-3, right? So, why even bring it up. THAT seems a bit more insecure to me.

all time record smack is some of the weakest out there (and if i've ever done it in the past, i apologize)... who cares about games played before the Eisenhower administration?
what matters to me is what i've experienced and will experience... not something 60 years ago.
