Our defense was #1 in rushing defense in the SEC. You A&M fans don't realize that AU's defense that year wasn't that bad
And your passing defense was 108th in the country. Yes, that's bad.
Neither defense would have much hope of stopping the opposing QB.

That's a record, not a statistic. And nobody denied Auburn's superior record.
Yes, A&M had an easier schedule than Auburn did. The stats reveal that A&M was more efficient and less mistake prone almost across the board.

We didn't lose a game with a tougher schedule and one more game. A&M lost two. Auburn would win by double digits.
It doesn't matter though. Our season got us a national championship. A&M's got a cotton bowl win

Johnny Manziel is 6 feet straight up and runs probably a 4.5 or 4.6.
Cam Newton is 6 6 250 pounds and runs JUST as fast. Dude took a 7 win auburn team at best and made them national champions AND defeated one of the best offenses in the history of the game.

The question would not be about record. The question is by the bowl game who would win. I think A&M at the end of the year would have beat Auburn.
Early in the year Auburn would play close.

Auburn was on fire at the end of the year, after starting off slow.

You give Newton an actual decent to above average team and they defeat A&M by a wide margin.

what do you think the line would be if those teams played at the end of the year?

Why do Texas A&M fans really believe this game would be close, or that they might even pull out the win?
First of all Auburn played a ton of close games in 2010. You blew out five teams (not counting Arkansas as that game was back and forth for 56 minutes or so) of which two were mid-majors, one an FCS program and another was 4-8 Ole Miss. The only impressive blowout was USC part II. You beat MSU by 3, Clemson by 3, USC part I by 8, Kentucky by 3, LSU by 7, Bama by 1 and Oregon by 3. A&M was better than at least four of those teams you played within a single score. You won your 14 games by an average of 17 PPG.
Meanwhile, A&M blew out 8 teams in 2012 and won their 11 games by an average of 27.9 PPG. We had five games decided by a single score and four of them were against ranked teams.
It's very unlikely given the statistical trends that game wouldn't at least be close.

Auburn by 10 on a neutral field. We would've been coming off of a 40 point beat down in the SEC Championship game.

Don't even try to have a legit conversation with that poster.

Yeah, I should know better. His Cam Newton theory was gold the other night.

You didn't beat anyone as good or better than A&M by more than 7 points all year. You needed OT to beat a 7 loss Clemson team at home and beat 7 loss Kentucky on a last second FG. It is extremely unlikely you would have blown us out, especially given how poor your pass defense was.

What was the score vs. Bama - I dont give a shite about blowing out a goat.
Lets change this up a little.
Bama fans - could your team this year have beaten Cam's team? LSU fans - could your team this year have beaten Cams team? Georgia fans could your team this year have beaten Cams team?
What margin do you think?

Manziel will be a 4.45-4.49 guy at the combine. He's faster than Newton was. Newton was a much more powerful runner, though.

I know Auburn played great as well but with the way A&M played at the end of the year I think it would be Auburn by 3

I skimmed the last page and a half, but not a single person has said A&M except their fans and the OP, who is obviously trolling
an undefeated SEC team vs a 2 loss SEC isn't even a question
and I really don't understand the JFF/Cam debate. one found a way to win no matter what, the other didn't
the end.
