I know that Oregon has good athletes and all, but you people do remember that they lost their coach who basically was the brains behind that scheme? I'm not saying they will experience an Arkansas-level dropoff, but come on, losing Kelly was a huge deal

And we have a winner. Losing Chip will hurt a lot more than most people think. Oregon might still have talent, but will it be properly utilized this season without Kelly? Belloti was a good coach but they didn't start putting up the video game numbers until they hired Kelly away from New Hampshire.

Ohio State will lose at least one of the following three games: Wisconsin, at Northwestern, at Michigan. There's a big difference between playing with no chance of a bowl or championship and playing with a target on their backs all season.

Louisville's only real chance to lose is at Cincinnati. I think they'll go 12-0, just not sure that'll be enough to get them to the BCSCG.

Texas has the talent to be in the discussion, but they have another arse kicking in Dallas awaiting them. Bob Stoops absolutely owns Mack Brown.

FSU will lose one game they shouldn't because of a freshman QB.

Alabama, UGA, LSU, and Carolina will all be top 10. I need to see more from Driskel this season before I can be comfortable putting Florida in there.

The top 10 in no order will be:

Alabama
Georgia
LSU
S Carolina
Louisville
Stanford
Ohio State
Clemson
Nebraska (look at their schedule)
Virginia Tech (lose badly to Alabama, quietly rip off 10 or so wins)

Helfrich was the OC and qb coach. The offense will be great. Most Duck fans are concerned with the loss of DL coach whom was instrumental on the d side. Akein has a good rep though.

I think we could easily lose a game this season and I think Michigan is the best bet. Wisconsin always seems to give us trouble, but I still am more worried about Michigan. Either way, your "big difference between playing with no chance of a bowl" line could go either way. I'd say a team loses a good amount of motivation with no postseason available.

Also, what Meyer has done in his first two seasons since taking his first HC job...
took:
2-9 Bowling green to 8-3 before 9-3
5-6 Utah to 10-2 before 12-0.
7-5 Florida to 9-3 before 12-0.
7-5 Ohio State to 12-0 before ???

Guy always performs his first two seasons and tends to only improve in his second.
