The Bridge Schedule isn't as random as some like us to think it is...

Anybody else see a pattern?
Looks to me like they are trying to keep close to the old rotation while switching to only two cross division games, bringing in Missouri and A&M, and keeping old cross divisional rivals. I applaud them for keeping traditions and trying to keep the rotation close to the old one.
Based on 2009, I'd say in 2014 Bama will play South Carolina and Tennessee while LSU will play Florida and either Vandy or Missouri.
ETA: after further thought (and it being pointed out) I'd say Bama will play UGA in 2014 and USC in 2015, and LSU will play either Vandy, Kentucky, or Missouri.

it's sad that i'll take a schedule thread over a JFF thread right now

No one ever claimed it was random.

Mississippi State is supposed to play Kentucky and Vandy next year.

That's a tough draw for Merlins

Obliviously you haven't talked to the LSU fans that think they could have made the bridge schedule whatever they wanted it to be.

Bama should switch onto UGA's schedule before USC's if they are trying to keep with the old rotation.

True, they might do Georgia in 2014 and South Carolina in 2015. That would make more sense.

I'll start a thread on the implications of the roommate switch one of these days - there are a couple variations on the rotation options that are significant (essentially it is a four year rotation to get through the entire conference because the two divisions change some years).
It does seem like time for the SEC to settle down with a permanent schedule instead of this silly bridge schedule stuff. The SEC will probably stick with 14 teams for the foreseeable future since the ACC and Big 12 have taken steps to prevent further losses.

State is supposed to play Vandy in 2014? That makes sense, so that means LSU will probably get Missouri or Kentucky.

Best one I could find right off hand.
The SEC officials state that the bridge schedules stand alone. So yes while they may have tried to keep similar rotation by all means they could have done whatever they wanted as per the "stand alone nature". Much akin to how UGA should have rotated onto bamas schedule LAST YEAR. Ok so yall got Mizzou. Surely Uga comes up this year-nope. Its just vanished.
Whereas Bamas main competition for the division crown by all means must keep with the original rotation-oh wait just to make it harder we have to go back to Athens when we should be getting them at home.
Thats where the bitching comes from. If bama gets an guaranteed W with UT for "stand alone schedules" at least try to make the other opponents equitable. We get back to back top ten opponents whereas the SEC office has just somehow forgotten about yalls game with UGA with Mizzou and UK as replacements

Bama played in BR in '91 and '92.
That was fair though, right?

What happened to the troll threads of old

Um.... Like I said in the post... (After thinking about it) Pretty sure we will get UGA next year and y'all will get Mizzou or Kentucky.
Some people can't understand that it is mathematically impossible to keep everything the same or equal while going from 3 cross divisional games to 2, while adding two new teams, keeping cross divisional rivals, and trying to keep the order of who plays who at home, etc.

Nope. Still nowhere close to the same thing. Also because of the brilliance of permanent opponents it will be 5 years before we get the return trip. LSU went to tuscaloosa the next year.

In schedules that are by SEC definition "stand alone"
We get 4 top ten teams from the east in 2 years. Yalls four teams combined for three wins last year. All vs each other.
