Bear mascot / Landshark

So, with the rise in popularity of the "Landshark" theme at Ole Miss, where does the bear mascot fit in to this? My personal opinion is that the teams and fans have adopted and caught on to the landshark but the bear still hasn't taken off the ground. I think the administration should cut their losses and replace the bear with a shark.

Bear is a much better official mascot. A shark would be ridiculous. The Landshark is a good thing for fans to get behind and support the players with.

I'm actually surprised the Landshark thing has stuck around. I always thought it was pretty dumb.

Nebraska had the "black shirt" defense and I think the Landshark D could become our own version of that. Obviously it's used more throughout our program. I think it's a great thing. The university shouldn't receive any profits from it though. Any profits made by the university for it should be sent to Tony Fein's family.

I thought the landshark should have won in the first place, it's what I voted for.
Not many people truly like the bear. Most people I know who are not gung ho col reb supporters simply tolerate the bear.
I think if "remain having no mascot" was on the ballot it would have won in a landslide.

I disagree. IMO, not making a Landshark or Grover your mascot was a huge fail. You guys throw the landshark up contantly. Your best tradition is the grove. It should have been Landshark or Grover. Both are famous and funny.
