RT @JimKleinpeter #LSU RB Jeremy Hill formally charged w simple battery
Now, what does this mean for his status?
A prosecutor said Monday she has decided to file a motion to revoke the probation of Jeremy Hill, the suspended LSU running back who landed in legal hot water again this spring after he was arrested in a bar fight.
“We’re going to certainly push for revocation,” said Sue Bernie, an East Baton Rouge Parish assistant district attorney. “I think that jail time is appropriate, but it’s ultimately up to the judge.”
Bernie said Hill faces up to six months in jail if his probation is revoked. She said she could file the motion as early as this week.

1 to 2 games suspension. Added shite to his probation.

Worst case I could see him missing the first few games.
Best case I could also see him being reinstated with no suspension after his hearing.

My guess is he pleads down and misses the first half of the TCU game

I'm sure he can beat these charges.

I'm not sure there is anything to plea down to from simple battery.

No, you're right. No suspension is the right penalty for a guy who beat the shite out of a dude in a bar while being on probation for being a sex criminal.
Hell of a program yall got going on down there.

quote:I mean I guess he could technically plea to simple assault - which is basically just putting someone in fear of getting battered. This charge is the lowest form of battery, though. Makes sense that is it - he wasn't using any type of weapon and didn't do anything that threatened the other guy's life.
Is there not?
