Question For The Piggies- LR vs NWA Extravaganza

****WARNING: ESSAY-LIKE OP*****
Let me preface this by saying that although not a native or a student, Arkansas has long been a program that has intrigued me and I have always followed somewhat closely (at least compared to other SEC schools). Your "flagship" university is complete with passionate fans, more tradition than people will acknowledge, and of course, Walmarks $$$$.
I believe your fanbase gets a shitty rep because Arkansans have a sort of chip on the shoulder for being just "that other state", so when the national spotlight shines on you, piggies must exclaim "look at me!!! we exist and are awesome!!!". This does not bother me because I understand it. Arkansas seems to be a somewhat secluded state....this behavior is to be expected (to an extent). LSU fans (and some others), however, do not understand, and for whatever reason take this behavior as a personal attack and feel to the need to crush what they view as some sort of rebel uprising.
But I digress. There is, however, one aspect of your fanbase that perplexes me beyond belief: The seemingly constant battle being raging between LR and NWA. My question is why? Why wouldn't each faction wish for the success of the other? WHY? You make up one state you know....and a state struggling for a positive public image to say the least (sorry).
I've been to Fayetteville once and LR twice, both during undergrad years. NWA was 2010 BAMA vs ARK. Fantastic game, one of the best I've been to, despite the home environment loss. Had a blast in fay, thought it to be a wonderful place. LR once to go home with a pledge brother, and another time for a LRCC deb ball (dope). Also thought it was a wonderful place with wonderful people, had a blast.
As I type this out, I suppose I should change the subject to NWA against Little Rock. The NWA proponents seem always ready to shoot down this or that in LR, to pimp out the unequaled greatness of NWA. This goes way way beyond ya'lls weird stadium issue, to ANYTHING. Economy, beauty, people, etc. I've seen the yahoo articles showing how all those cities in that corner of the state are blowing up, and I believe it. But the NWA folks feel a strange need to shove it down the throat of LR folks to prove their greatness.
My question is this: is NWA the group with the chip on their shoulder? Why is this group so aggressive and quick to down LR, even though they share the same state, team, and overall internests???? Looking at the LR-NWA relationship is almost like a microcosm of the SEC-ARK relationship. The need to beat the chest and prove greatness, often unprovoked and out of nowhere.
Sorry for the long-winded nature of this post. I just find the relationship between these two groups to be strange. I hope I didn't offend any of you pigs(especially NWA pigs), because I like you all (in general), and have had 100% positive encounters with your fan base.
PS. I have been lurking a long long LONG time, so don't give me any newbie business because of my post count.

Ok admittedly this thread did not go as planned. I actually thought you'd be open to accept an outsider down with the hogs but whatever.
Anyways, I'm lead to believe that the lack of serious responses just reinforces the ideas in the OP. I seem to have struck a nerve with the fayetteville folk and for that I apologize.
I do hope to be involved in the hogs recruiting thread in the future, as I'm interested in what this staff can put together in an already stacked west.
pittman+shannon+chaney+bielema+ash+thomas should yield interesting results. so it goes.
in the mean time, sail on.

Nobody wants to read all of that shite.
And nobody wants to discuss the particulars of NWA vs LR again. If you really want to know how people feel about it, use your search function and kindly go frick yourself.

I'm tired of the debate. They're apples and oranges. RRS is an SEC stadium and WMS is a municipal stadium. They're both very good for what they are.
If we're really going to debate Little Rock and NWA, do it with similar things. I'll get this started:
DAMGOODE PIES FAYETTEVILLE VS. DAMGOODE PIES LITTLE ROCK
DGP Fayetteville has a bar AND plenty of seating for families. Pleasing everyone pleases no one. Meanwhile, DGP Little Rock (Hillcrest) has employees that are as high as the temperatures they bake their pizzas. I expect that in a good pizza professional.
ADVANTAGE: LITTLE ROCK
OSEGUERA'S (SPRINGDALE) vs. LA HACIENDA (LITTLE ROCK)
Same menu and at one time part of the same ownership group. (I think a family member sold out to someone within the family) Oseguera's looks like an old Bonanza that's been decorated for the fanciest quinceanera. La Hacienda doesn't give you one waiter, it gives you five of them rotating out, ensuring that you are asked every five minutes if you need something or not. This stops about five minutes after your food gets to you.
ADVANTAGE: NWA
DOES (FAYETTEVILLE) vs. DOES (LITTLE ROCK)
The Does in Little Rock has a guy standing outside of it at all times to make sure you aren't hassled by the homeless or that no one steals your car. The Does in Fayetteville does not have a guy standing outside to make sure that you aren't hassled by someone trying to get you to come to their show at Smoke and Barrel.
ADVANTAGE: LR
You guys can add your own.

so you sit at home and awkardly internet stalk all the people on here without talking much? That always seemed creepy to me.
Oh yea and I got to here

Boscos Beer Pub Little Rock vs No Boscos Beer Pub Fayetteville
Little Rock has Boscos, Fayetteville does not.
Advantage: Little Rock

This got anchored so you're probably right. Let me get in one last dig:
GRUBS BAR AND GRILL (FAYETTEVILLE) vs. GETTING STABBED (LITTLE ROCK)
At least none of my friends think getting stabbed sounds fun.
ADVANTAGE: LITTLE ROCK

Lets pretend you are serious for a moment
It may have something to do with how SE Arkansas or more generally, the cotton-reliant parts (including LR) were prominent and ran the state from 1803 until about 30 years ago
Now NWA runs the state (sorry LR, its true) yet LR still thinks it is the crown jewel of Arkansas. That's the problem
TLDR: LR = old money that spent it all and still acts uppity to new money (NWA)

well regardless of the utter failure of this thread, i was serious, and
this is the POV i've never been exposed to only truly knowing LR folks. quite the interesting dynamic. thanks for your serious response.
