Word on a Texas A&M board is that the Alabama offer to Brandon Harris is not a commitable offer. Could some of the Alabama posters comment on whether this is a fact?
If the offer is non-commitable can you explain how that works?
Thanks.

It's only non-commitable until they find out what they want to find out with several other QBs this week. They can either decide on one of them, or pursue Harris. No QB can commit yet, so he's not alone.
In this case it's more of a due diligence than than just a meaningless offer. Most have caveats that make their offers contingent on something, and can only commit when told they can.

Word around the campfire is that Bama and LSU are pretty far out front of everyone else in the race for him. A&M isn't as close as it may seem, apparently.
I've talked about this before on here, but watch the domino effect that happens when one major kid makes his decision. OBs are going to go left and right and within about 3 weeks, everyone will have one locked up.

Well Cornwell is working out for Bama today. If he performs well he'll be the first domino to fall.

I expect him to be. I think the other visits and evals of other QBs were just covering the bases.
From there, it then depends on who is taking more than one QB. I don't know what yalls plan is. People keep thinking LSU will take 2, but I'm very skeptical that it actually happens that way.

1 for us more than likely

Looking like LSU will be more than happy to take Brandon Harris and DeShone Kizer who just showed out and got an Elite 11 and The Opening invites.
This mean Mason Rudolph will likely be pushed elsewhere if that happens. Good news for Oklahoma State or Virginia Tech who seem to be right behind LSU for him.

Harris will be at LSU

I just want that Cornwell guy. Harris looks athletic, but Cornwell is pro-typical. But who knows. Roll Tide.

Rudolph is going to Va Tech.

VT already has one QB committed and leads for Elite 11 invitee Jacob Park. Rudolph isn't going there.

nothing beats 30-40 year old white losers saying "showed out"

He just finished his visit, moved his decision date to this week and a few analysts put there VT pick in on the crystal ball yesterday.
Makes me think he going to Tech.

All QB offers are dependent n throwing at a camp. That way coaches can see mechanics first hand. Cornwell is the supposed favorite, but Harris is close.
Cornwell to Bama
Harris to LSU is my guess.

Can someone explain to me the meaning of an offer that inst committable? Wouldn't that just not be an offer? Take it easy on me, please

It's semantics to a certain degree. A lot of "offers" are contingent upon different factors but the recruit still gets to claim he was offered by the school. it's in the interest of the school to give these "offers" because the prospect might turn out to be a stud by NSD and they don't want him holding a grudge because they waited longer than the other schools to offer

A perfect example would be coaches wanting QBs to attend a camp so they can see mechanics firsthand. They may know who they want already, but are confirming it with camp.
ETA: I imagine this is really common in kids with academic issues.
