Who's LSU throwing tomorrow? We're most likely throwing Fant.

Hasn't started against an SEC team and his only (real) start came against New Orleans, which he threw well in but it was UNO. Freshman RHP, 90ish FB, slider and curve.
I say real start because he started another game but we platooned pitching that game, I think he lasted like 2 innings. One of those 5 game weeks.

So...is Arkansas getting BP tomorrow or does he have the stuff to hold his own against an SEC squad? Granted Arkansas' bats aren't the scariest in the world, but they tend to light up pitchers that don't have great stuff. Or just throw a lot a fastballs.

He has stuff, but we tend to bring our freshman pitchers along slowly unless they are studs when they get here like Nola/Gausman. It's all the same old matter of control and movement. He showed he can do it against UNO, no telling what we get tomorrow.
Like I said, he's only had 1 start so no trend to really go by. If he has the same stuff he showed against UNO then I'd imagine he won't get hurt too badly. We just really want to get 5 solid innings out of him. I'd like to think our target is 3 or less runs for him given up. We need to play perfect defense to help him out for sure. He isnt going to strike many guys out.

lol, that would be quite the game, but he's definitely a pitch to contact guy mostly. Our defense just needs to play lights out. They've been pretty good overall this tournament.

Should be a great game. Fant has been consistent this year. He's not going to completely shut you down like Stanek does, but you won't score more than 2-3 while he's on the mound. We've hardly used our bullpen at all, so I expect Fant to have a short leash. I'm sure DVH wants to get most of the guys in there to keep them from getting rusty.

We didn't use our best out of the bullpen today except Cotton which he can easily pitch again tomorrow. I think he threw about 10 pitches today and he has a rubber arm anyways, throws so slow
So we should have our best in the bullpen more than ready for tomorrow.

Who is Miss St sending to the hill tonight vs Vandy? Bullpen for the Dawgs has to be somewhat taxed with that 17 INN opener and 2 subsequent games.
VU will go with either Pfeifer or Pecarero - each guy has kind of rotated being the no.3 starter this season.
