Unless Alabama goes on probation again, bad years -- where they lose 5 or 6 games -- will be a rarity. Now, occasionally losing 3 games is more likely than not, but that's not really a bad year.

It is cyclical.

As mentioned in this thread earlier, Saban won't coach forever. For every Saban, there are three Dubose/Price/Shulas.

Had it not been for Mike Hamilton, UT wouldn't be in the tank. Brian Kelly and Gary Patterson both wanted the UT job. Patterson thought he had it. Hammilton hired Kiffin.

random observation from outside- you'll find you have a lot of spoiled fans who will bitch and moan that that IS a bad year, and all is doomed. Just my prediction

I hope Tennessee does revive soon. They were a fun team to watch from the 90's through the mid-00's, and brought a lot of respect back to the conference.
