Aggie Fans: Question regarding LB Nate Askew

How has he been doing since the switch to OLB from WR? I saw he had a sack in the spring game, but not much more. I imagine he's long on athleticism, but short on strength.
Is it close with JuCo Tommy Sanders for the strongside spot, or is Sanders running away with it?
Thanks for any info, I was rummaging through some old Army AA game stuff and he piqued my interest

Yes, Askew was moved permanently. He really has been unable to find a way onto the field at WR and had even been passed by a few walkons but is big and fast so it's an attempt to find a role for him.
I was not particularly high on the move because it seemed like just trying to fill a lack of depth for spring. However, he's apparently really taken to it. Sanders should start but I believe he'll get PT there. I think he'll be an especially good fit on passing downs as he looks extremely quick blitzing and his size and athleticism makes him exceptionally good in coverage. I'm not sure he'll get a lot of playing time in running situations though.

Sounds like a move to anywhere else was long overdue, as he really hasn't done much outside of special teams at WR. Moves like this always interest me, I was a big fan of Audie Cole from NCST a few years back. He went from QB to MLB though, but it's a similar "oddity".
A platoon role makes sense considering his athleticism, definitely should see a share of 3rd down and longs. I had read a few reports that had remarked about Sanders' speed, so I didn't know if they were similar players.
Thanks for the information, I do appreciate it

Best case scenario would be role player (rush LB) on passing downs.
