Urban Meyer's best teams could beat any of Spurrier's best teams within an inch of their lives. Urban Meyer should be #1. Besides, he never got beat by 40 points in a NC game

Probably not - 25-14-2. His first season was 1-9, though, and he went unbeaten in year three, so he had them going in the right direction.

What exactly has he done to piss Florida fans off besides accepting the Ohio State job just a year after he said he needed to be with family?

The upside was 2 CC'c/NC/s. The downside: recruit a chaingang, then poor recruiting last two years, then leaving on pretense of health issues and family time, borne out by immediately going on the ESPN road show then taking the low pressure job of tOSU HC. What's truly lovely he is now the B1G mouthpiece for 'quality' recruits and unfair advantages/wrong priorities in 'other regions' (read SEC).
Urban is a great coach. He's also one of the most full of shite sports figures I've seen in quite a while.

Spurrier had some pretty great teams at UF. The 1996 and 2008 UF teams were possibly the best offensive teams this league has ever seen, both put up 611 points on the season. Of course, the 1996 team did it with one fewer game.
The '96 team also had Bob Stoops as the DC. That team could give any of Meyer's great teams a run for their money.

Left the program broken (as he put it), which most considered unacceptable a couple years removed from 2 NCs. Took $1 million from UF for his 'retirement'. Accepted another job within a year of his 'retirement' and negatively recruited against us, including a ballsy move to tell recruits not to come play for us because of the arrest record. Has tried to get former Gators to recruit for him and Ohio State, including Tebow.

The Bear was so good, he could back up time.

In fairness to Florida and Spurrier, they lost to the greatest team of all time in that game.

It really is. Quite frankly, the whole thing makes me sad. I was in school during the Meyer years and combined with the basketball NCs, made it the most incredible experience I could imagine. This is a guy we should be celebrating and putting up in the Ring of Honor in a few years. Now, I'm not sure he would be very welcomed.

I had no idea he was at LSU also.
Mississippi College - 3 years (12-7-2)
LSU - coached for 3 games (1-0-2)
Texas A&M - 11 years (72-19-9, 5 SWC titles and both the 1917 and 1919 undefeated-unscored upon teams - A&M claims 1919 as an MNC)
Nebraska - 8 years (50-15-7, 6 Big6 titles)
Texas - 9 years (63-31-3, 3 SWC titles)
Total - 198-72-23 (WP - 0.744)
Quite a résumé.
