Allyn Mckeen 65-19-3
Jackie Sherrill 75-75-2 (Won the west in 98, had some great teams in the 90s..his 3 years where he lost a ton of talent and had outside issues ruined his otherwise successful record.
Dan Mullen 29-22 3 straight bowl games and first MSU coach to win first 3 egg bowls since Mckeen.
Ralph Sasse 20-10 Short but successful tenure including an Orange Bowl.
Emory Bellard 37-42 had some great early years in 1980 and 81.

Red Drew, I don't have as much respect for. The Houston Nutt of his day, and really left the program in bad shape. It didn't help that Whitworth was the worst coach of all time to take over his already declining program.

Probably (based only on winning percentage and general success/accomplishments):
Dan Devine 93-37-7
Don Faurot 101-79-10
Gary Pinkel 84-54
William Roper 7-0-1
Chester Brewer 14-8-2
Pretty lame.

Not trying to flame, but isn't Mullen y'alls only head coach outside of Darrell Royal with a winning record?
No. Allyn Mckeen was 65-19. Royal was 12-8. Mullen is 29-22..Sasse was 20-10, Chadwick was 29-12 and there are like 5 others with above .500 records but were only coach for 1 0r 2 seasons back before the 1930s.

2.MEYER - (2005-2010)65-15 0.812

5.WILLIAM G. KLINE - (1920-1922) 19-8-2 0.689
NOTE* I could've added more known names like ray graves or galen hall to go with sos and meyer, but i went with winning % regardless of # of years with the school.

Name Your Program's Top 5 Coaches With Records
Here are our 5 coaches with the most wins:
Steve Spurrier (1990-2001): 122-27-1 [81.7%]
Ray Graves (1960-1969): 70-31-4 [68.6%]
Urban Meyer (2005-2010): 65-15 [81.2%]
Doug Dickey (1970-1978): 58-43-2 [57.3%]
Bob Woodruff (1950-1959): 53-42-6 [55.4%]
Although I doubt most would consider Dickey or Woodruff amongst the best, they just had longevity. Gallen Hall at 40-18-2 is certainly up there
Steve Spurrier (1990-2001): 122-27-1 [81.7%] ... great man, historic man.
Ray Graves (1960-1969): 70-31-4 [68.6%] ... he can thank Spurrier.
Urban Meyer (2005-2010): 65-15 [81.2%] ... road coattails from what Spurrier did. Overrated.
Doug Dickey (1970-1978): 58-43-2 [57.3%] ... UT traitor bastard.
Bob Woodruff (1950-1959): 53-42-6 [55.4%] ... good man. (I know about him because of the Black Knights and also Coach Sauer over at The Citadel. Woodruff should be measured by how many of his assistants became head coaches. Great man.)
Charlie Pell ... cheatin' taterhead scumbag.
Galen Hall ... cheatin 'bastard.

Wait, do we list our top five, but provide records, or do we list the top five going by records?
