They announced at the baseball game that UK tennis won their region. Not sure if it was men or women tho.

LSU and Ole Miss fall in the round of 32.

Scores:
Pepperdine 4, LSU 0
Memphis 4, Ole Miss 2

Tennessee 4, Clemson 3
Mississippi State 4, Harvard 1
UGA 4, Northwestern 0
Texas A&M 4, Texas 3
Kentucky 4, Virginia Tech 1
Vanderbilt 4, Illinois 1

So only 6 SEC teams remain. The Round of 16 takes place starting next Thursday in Urban-Champagne, Ill.

Here are the matchups for SEC teams:
3 UGA vs 14 Oklahoma
7 Tennessee vs 10 Mississippi State
12 Texas A&M vs 5 Ohio State
8 Kentucky vs 9 Duke
16 Vanderbilt vs 1 UCLA

SEC going to have it tough in the next round. UGA losing KU will definitely hurt against OU. But UGA and UT/MSU winner are only 2 SEC teams I would give any shot of advancing. I know aTm got OSu earlier in the year, but just don't expect that to happen again. Duke is just as good as anyone in the country; however, to be fair, they have had some head scratcher losses here and there. Vandy has 0 shot against UCLA.

If they had played it @ UK in an earlier round they would have set a record for NCAA tennis attendance! I think 14 K - 18 K showed up when Duke women played UK women in Rupp.

Doubtful. How many does your tennis facility hold?

Officially I think 1,500 on the main court but the facility hosts the $100,000 5/3 Tournament in the summer. If it was Duke they would bring in temporary seating like they do for baseball and softball. Tennis is not my thing but if it is UK vs Duke in tiddlywinks they could sell 10,000 seats.

Here is a pic of Boone

Looks like Magill seats 5,000 over the entire facility so not sure what it seats on the main court? It is not the issue of UK or Duke tennis that would drive attendance as much as it would be about UK vs Duke in any sport.

Where would you put bleachers with 8,500 seats?

USC has the largest facility in the country, capacity wise, at 5,800. UGA has 5,000.

Our main grandstand:

You are missing the point in BBN finding a will and a way to show up when the opponent in LEX is Duke. If USC has the largest facility then 6,000 would set a record. If UK already has 1,500 then you are just looking at 4,500 extra seats. For baseball I think UK was able to expand seating to 6,000 had they hosted the NCAA last spring and they would have sold it out because they were projecting Louisville in that host site.

Which was why I made the joke about 10,000 seats for tiddywinks. BBN will show up for Uof L or Duke in just about anything.

I was amazed what Stanford would do to Taube when they hosted the Bank of America WTA event. They added all sort of temporary bleachers. So I think UK could get it done.

Do any SEC facilities host ATP or WTA events?
