This is an amusing read, but we will see over the next 2 seasons whether or not any of this merits alarm. I trust that Nick Saban will make the necessary recruiting adjustments to counter the spread if necessary. Who's excited to see Texas A&M's unstoppable offense this fall?

I didn't read it but I assume it sucks and nothing in it is true.

Why Nick Saban Is Afraid of 2008 Utah and the Spread

Seems like a Saban hit piece to me. I agreed with some of the observations around Manziel being an above-average fit to run a spread, but the rest of the article was typical BR garbage. Here's a gem:
If someone posted this as an opinion on the SECr, it wouldn't even get high marks as a good troll post...

I'll play along.
I don't think Nick is "afraid" of spread O's of any sort. Obviously, they are a different animal than are other O's. UF (Tebow sans Harvin) had some success in the '08 SECCG vs Bama. But '09 was a different story. The Aggies/Manziel started off with a bang (a very large bang against what I think was an emotionally challenged team) but were stymied for much of the rest of the game (is that correct?).
A bigger concern for Nick ought to be ensuring he spaces out the difficult games on the schedule.

He's afraid because he got whipped in Tuscaloosa. No more complicated than that.

Is that so? This is my first offense, and I posted the article in humor. Don't think I actually buy this garbage. I've made good posts in the past too, but alas I'm not liked much and prefer reading the posts here. Eliminate me if you must. Farewell. This place is legit.
