I agree.
Without Saban's recruits, LSU will never win another SEC championship.

I see the cheerio kids are hard at it.
Well, Coach Miles has a chance to even series with Saban, get an edge over Richt. and keep it going over Sumlin and Mullen. We'll see.

BTW, I was speaking to you, not about you. You may have misinterpreted earlier.
FWIW, based on what actually has been done.
1. Nick Saban
2. Steve Spurrier
3. Les Miles
4. Mark Richt
Everyone else needs to get to ATL and win.

Things that are ridiculous:
1. Les Miles being behind Sumlin, Franklin, and Mullen.
2. Bret Bielema being above Will Muschamp.
3. TideSatchel's arguments in this thread.
Things that are slightly less ridiculous, but still silly:
1. Les Miles being behind Mark Richt.
2. Dan Mullen being ahead of Will Muschamp and Hugh Freeze.
3. Saban having to occupy a list like this. There should be another list with ONLY Saban's name on it.

Once you reach 45,000 posts, you get access to the secret lists that only contain Saban and other Bama luminaries. It is quite a perk.

I'll say one thing for Coach Richt, this is a hard league to keep a job. He's kept his longer than anyone, save SOS.

Since when has Okie st joined the SEC? Post Miles's record at LSU instead
He was implying that under similar circumstances Miles doesn't stand out. A monkey could win at LSU because they really don't compete with anyone in LA for recruits. Okie State, under Miles, had to recruit against OU and numerous other more glamorous schools.

Why did you photoshop you arm to make it look like you had a tumor in your forearm?

Saban
Miles/Spurrier
Richt
Sumlin
Muschamp
Franklin
Freeze
Mullen
The rest...
Didn't consider Bielema since he hasn't coached in the SEC yet. I'm not sold Arky can be a contender with a power game due to recruiting. I think they need a scheme coach to draw enough elite talent JMO. Hope they get back to the Petrino level though.

The same arguments were made last year. The easiest response to this is let him go somewhere and actually win before you crown him. You assume because he is mediocre to average at State that that means he would crush somewhere else. There's a reason it took him forever to get a gig. There's a reason State got him and he took that gig. There's a reason that no one has come a calling since then. If he's magnificent, one day he'll got to place where he can show it. Giving him a pass for his mediocrity and rewarding rank speculation by ranking him high is pretty silly.

We'll see. The last chapter hasn't been written yet. But 4 NC's in 11 seasons is hard to argue with, especially considering he took over two teams that were needing some help at the time.

you're right....but we do have to compete against A&M, Texas, Arkansas, Auburn, Alabama, Florida, and UGA for recruits. look at our recruiting class....there's ALOT of out of state kids.

Even if they were Saban's players miles won the games with his george bush level strategery. All those complaining should feel bad because if your team had followed through like Arkansas's team did that year the debate wouldn't even happen because miles wouldn't have won a championship. Miles is a great coach and program manager. He's like the Chiz except with coaching skills.

Well, if LSU is so easy to win at wouldn't we have about 30 CC's...since 1933?
