talk about bizarro alternate reality... since when is the SEC Championship Game not a meaningful game? you may also be selling your school short, because I think LSU-Bama games are pretty meaningful, and he's won a few of those as well.
he's trolling. disregard his stupidity

1)Saban
2)Spurrier
3)Miles
4)Richt
5)Muschamp
Would be the most legitimate top 5.

Moving on to people with actual brains, apparently if you try to fight Georgia assistants, you get ranked pretty high as well.

Good to see you again. Feels like you haven't been around very much.
I've got one teenager playing varsity softball, and one playing JV baseball & JV golf right now. I got my head on a swivel trying to keep track of WTH I'm supposed to be these days. Great weather for outdoor sports though!

guys, the list agrees with me.

not really. I can see their argument. you LSU fans just get pissy whenever anyone doesn't put LSU first. it's what you do. Les hasn't won a meaningful game since 2007 and never has without Saban's players. you have to take that into consideration.
Wow

I really don't see the problem with the list.
Fact is, if Dan Mullen walked into the Sugar Bowl with LSU's football team, Louisville would have never beat them.
Dan Mullins wins games.

James Franklin intrigues me, I think he would be scary good at a powerhouse school.

Athlon uses a lot of science to make this list. Pretty irrefutable stuff.

FWIW if I ranked them I'd probably do something like:
1. Nick Saban
2. Steve Spurrier
3. Les Miles
4. Mark Richt
5. Kevin Sumlin
6. Bret Bielema
7. Will Muschamp
8. James Franklin
9. Gary Pinkel
10. Hugh Freeze
11. Dan Mullen
12. Butch Jones
13. Gus Malzahn
14. Mark Stoops
I'm squishy on Spurrier vs Miles but for his career going back to Florida I gave Spurrier the nod.
Richt I put at #4 because he's had a number of exceptional seasons at UGA.
I'm not real sold there's a big difference between #s 5 thru 7 either... seeing as Muschamp went into College Station and beat Sumlin last year I could understand a gator fan thinking he should be ranked #5.
I could also understand people not respecting Bielema as the #6 coach but he did have a lot of success at Wisconsin so I made a guess that he's going to be solid at Arkansas. I'm guessing many will think Pinkel is too high at #9 but last year was far and away his worst season so I don't want to be reactionary when overall he's proved more than guys ranked #8 and #s 10 thru 14 (as a head coach).

I don't think spurrier is the same coach since he came back from the NFL. Also the SEC wasn't as dominant when he was at UF.

I think we can all agree that no one wants a team coached by the following:
Joker Phillips
Johnelle
Any Dooley not named Vince (and even then)
Ed Orgeron
Houston Nutt
Curly Hallman
Mike Shula
Mike Price
Gene Chizik
Lane Kiffin
Chan Gailey
Mike Sherman

That's true, but he had a lot to do with that.
