Rep. Patricia Todd (D-Birmingham) has introduced House Bill 550, the Alabama Cannabis and Hemp Reform Act of 2013. This measure would legalize the possession of up to one ounce of marijuana and the cultivation of up to 12 mature marijuana plants by those over the age of 21. It would also authorize the Department of Revenue to establish marijuana retail outlets.

It'll pass and be used by our first openly gay, black Governor at his inaugeration speech, thanking the harmonious group of w.a.s.p. and fresh immigrant constituents.

They're already low. You missed the point of the post. It ain't happening. Bama still has dry counties, after the last elections, when the choice was there for them to go wet. If alcohol isn't even getting support in many areas, pot won't be.

As much as I want this to happen, it won't. Not soon anyways, I am from a county in Alabama, that just legalized the sell of beer, Last year. But man, weed is a great thing.
